"The Gite served as a base for our exploration of the Arras region. The village is lovely with a lot of history - please try the fare at the local bakery. The Gite itself is small with 3 bedrooms but with potential to sleep 6. Having this number stay would perhaps be problematic with regard to the sitting room which, although comfortable, is small (but more than adequate for our stay). The booking form did not make clear the accommodation was a tent. and did not include such basics as towels, Pillows, bedding etc. We were offered a wooden building fully equipped apart from the above. In view of the uncertainty of finding alternative we reluctantly accepted and improvised despite my age (86). "Lovely old house & gardens, undergoing a full renovation by the enthusiastic owners. We really liked it - if you like a bit quirky, you will like it too. There was also a very impressive & thought provoking WW1 memorial just a few miles away, that was well worth spending time in."
