"Excellent accomodation which was dog friendly - lovely walks through spacious gardens and small woodland. Service was also excellent - staff helpful and polite. Dog basket - bowls on request, blanket towel and sleep pad. Worth taking your own dogs beds but these items were useful and practical. Only consideration for next visit is my elderly dog struggled with stairs and I would request a ground floor room if available as no lift "

"Good acomodation booked in with the new property owner Kurt, we were the second transaction made on his hotel account, chap by the bar beat us to no 1 position by a matter of minutes, Kurt had recently bought the Castle Hotel friday the 1st of September was his first day so basically hit the road running! He explained theres going to be big changes / improvements over the coming months so watch the space, as a New Zealander the bar area is going to be a sport bar area with some great rugby...

"Lovely well-positioned hotel on the sea front. Friendly staff and good choice of food for breakfast which was cooked to order. Had an evening meal too which was also very good. Downside is there is no lift so climbing up to the second floor was an effort (we are in our 70's) but we did know this before we arrived so can't complain."
