This hotel is top of the line. Door service and front desk was second to none. I got a free upgrade to an ocean view Jr. Suite which has never happened in my many travels. The room was crazy nice and top notch cleaning. I have stayed in many hotels in Thailand and this by far was the best. I highly recommend!! 10 stars!!

If you price the included breakfast and kiddie water park at international rates the hotel room itself is almost free. Great value!! Clean happy place. If you have young kids the waterpark is fantastic. Even for adults. Right right there so no need taxis etc. On the map the hotel looks a bit set back from the beach but it's like 100 feet further than the Holiday Inn (which is also great but no water park and when I booked was twice the price of Mercure). I stayed in two different rooms. The first was nice but the second room on the 3rd floor as shown was the better of the two. I really liked my stay here and I would definitely do it again. The pool/s are certainly interesting and kids seem to really enjoy them. There were always people swimming but it was never crowded. 7-11 is close by and there is good street food just in front of it. The beach is a bit of a walk but there are some shops along the way. Sonia Residence seems to be a good value...
