"I"

"Good location, easy check-in. However our room’s AC wasn’t working, and the room phone was also not working. They acknowledged that the AC was broken (I wonder why they assigned that room to us) and moved us to another, better room. However, while the AC fan worked, there was no AC. They had already put a standalone AC in the room but it took…forever to cool the room. And the desk lamp wasn’t working either. On the positive, the breakfast buffet was excellent! And the concierge prearranged a...

"Very friendly staff, large room and varied breakfast options. Only downside was the soundproofing in room wasn’t brilliant. We could clearly hear people walking around upstairs and as we have a child, the lady next door started banging on the wall as soon as he made a slight noise."

"Friendly staff, clean room. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hairdryer, tea and coffee. 24hr service and bar, great place to stay next door to West Quay Southampton"

"I loved this Hotel !!"

"Clean Room. Helpful friendly staff. Good Breakfast"

"We had a nice one night stay before our cruise. If you are cruising it is located a little further off the center but still manageable and walkable depending on what cruise ship you are on) Hotel was clean, welcoming and had lots of extras I usually do not see at a hotel. Like a kitchenette, dishwasher and washing machine(which we did not use but an added bonus for travellers). They gave us a room with the view of the park… was nice."

"I had a lovely stay at the hotel which was just for work overnight. Didn't manage to use facilities but Spa looked good. Only disappointment was the fire alarm went off at 06:30 ish and was a false alarm."

"Great"

"Very underwhelmed by our stay. We had room 122 for 4 nights. Bed was terrible - old and sunken, really uncomfortable. Battled spiders nightly. The worst was the shower - understanding that the hotel is really old and plumbing is tricky- we had zero water pressure unless the water was scorching hot. Like burn your skin hot. We notified the front desk but that was as far as it went. Thankfully the weather wasn’t hot - no fans or much air circulation with the small windows. The staff was friendly,...

"Room was what we needed, hotel was nice and traditional , decor was great, service was good but cappuccino was cold"

"Great old world feel"

"Very pleasant stay, will come again."

"Lovely reception staff - i wrote the names of the women down but lost them! But they were so welcoming and helpful. The reviews for thie hotel seem quite harsh as this is a solid four star review hotel. The pool and gym are excellent. Breakfast had the best bacon I have had in a hotel but you need to come to breakfast before 9.30. The rooms were clean and modern."

"The size of the room for three people was a little too small. thankful we were there for only 1 night. Hotel very close to port so made it easy for transfer to ship"
