"Unfortunately the bathroom needed a shower screen or curtain over the bath. There was no soap etc, not good after Covid. There was no bottled water in the room. The bed was very hard. However, the hotel has a lovely ambience, unchanged for many years of our visiting. "

Make sure you speak to the person working the spa before you go to the pool, they have some nuances to the experience that were different than I was used to. Highly recommend, hope I have an excuse to come back to Colmar and stay here again and especially try the restaurant...

"I booked the hotel whilst driving back from Italy to England, so literally half an hour before I arrived. At reception I asked for a table in the restaurant for that evening and was told it was fully booked, it was empty! I came back having been made to eat elsewhere and upon my return the restaurant had just two tables being used. I got a drink from the bar which was very expensive. The room was adequate and clean but cramped. Also the bed was under the eves so the risk of banging your head in...

I can only imagine what standard rooms are like. Toilet and bathroom are separate across the room which was not good having to go across to wash your hands after using toilet facility. "The hotel was impeccably clean and the quality of our accommodation (room, bathroom, separate WC) was very good and well fitted out. The restaurant offered a choice of set menus and a la carte and we noticed that there was a good childrens' menu. Our food was excellent and beautifully presented. Drinks were reasonably priced and there was an extensive wine list. The continental breakfast was fine. Staff were friendly, polite, helpful and very attentive. I plan to stay at this hotel again....
