"I travel for work so spend about 250 days a year in a hotel. This trip was a personal trip and as a regular user of hotels.com I just made the booking after seeing some reviews and YouTube vlogs of this place. I rarely write reviews, mostly when things are above and beyond or if they are outright unfair. For this hotel I would say that it was later, things were completely off the hook. "First of all I was put not into Alif Laila but in another House Boat "Gulfaam". With very poor cleaning and service. It was a bad experience. No bills given for food bills, but charged."

"Staff were faultless, WiFi in hotel does not work, given dongle which was just OK. TV had no English movie or sports channels, breakfast was fine. Overall nowhere near 4 star standard and definitely would not stay here again. Better amenities in house boats for alot less money."

"Unfortunately I was the only guest,it rained hard all day and every day so definitely the wrong time of year to visit.the two members of staff I saw where very helpful put in my room a couple of electric heaters to keep me warm and also there was electric blankets to help.I had to request hot water each and every day and let me say at seventy years of age I don't require cold showers.Overpriced for that time of year."

"We almost missed our flight that morning. The hotel staff and manager are dishonest. they booked us a taxi to the airport early in the morning but when we stepped out to look for our taxi, we noticed another hotel guest getting in. They passed on our booking to someone else for more money. Didn't care if we made it to the airport. They will do anything for extra money. Not ethical, not trustworthy. I give this hotel a thumbs down."

"Front office staff and manager were professional. I have stayed in better options for the money in the area, it would suit those who want help arranging their touristic activities. I would have rated is as a good hotel option if not for the noise. The conversation from other floors is clearly audible (it's a bit of an echo chamber) and I was woken by loud talking at 5am. Then a loud staff member woke me at 630am, as he was cleaning the room next door and talking loudly. Breakfast isn't until 8am...
