"What a warm welcome we received on arrival, with smiling, helpful staff who provide useful information without being asked. The food was very nice too, both dinner and breakfast, with good nice relaxing pool and sauna facilities to relax in as well. We will be back, as a good place to stop for a break to a long journey south from Scotland."

"Stayed here 3 times short walk from the station! Stayed in room 205 which is at the rear of the building so nice and quiet away from the city traffic noise! We always book DB&B excellent value, the hotel seemed quieter than previous visits. Pre-dinner drinks were very very limited as bar person said they were waiting for a delivery actually only Guinness on draft & beer fridge almost empty! My partner & I both choose the soup which was delicious he had chicken curry which was an large portion together with trimmings I choose seafood "

"A grand place with very polite staff. Breakfast was very nice with many different options. Parking is easy and the leisure facilities were perfect for after work. The one evening meal I tried was very nice although the portion size was a little small for the price, the bar is a tad expensive also. Regardless I've booked another stay for work. Great place."

"A great stay at an iconic hotel, small signs of maintenance required but did not detract from the ambiance. We had a superior room with balcony overlooking the sea and oh what a spectacular view and the weather was in blue sky and sunshine mode. The service from checking in, restaurant and check out was warm, friendly and efficient. Well cooked and tasty choices in the menu. Overall a great experience."
