"I have never met a friendlier or better trained staff in 50+yrs of travel. Trained to call you by name; surprise xtra’s on night turndown. Low key hospitality and excellent food. I will remember the Salt and Meadow yeast rolls as “best ever”. Upstairs halls could use touch up paint and artwork but room was immaculate and bed/pillows etc very comfortable."

Toilet had brown, old caulk all around. Exposed pipes under sink needs dusting/wiped down. Pull back the curtain from the picture window and you see dust and bugs on the window sill. "We absolutely loved our peaceful stay here. This house had so much character and was so cozy for our Chesapeake Bay vacation ! There is a small town close by (7 minute drive) with amazing food options. The beach is a two minute drive from the home. Very relaxing stay , host was very responsive. "The Blue House was a perfect spot for my week long visit to the area. The location was quiet, safe, and friendly. I had nice conversations with community members and small business owners during my stay. The house is within walking distance to many restaurants. The kitchen is small but sufficient for meal preparation when desired. The yard is nice and there are outdoor seating areas on three sides of the house.I would definitely stay here again when visiting the area."

"Wonderful water view, go to sleep with the sound of the waves. Great full kitchen and ask host about catering with Chef Brenda! Get a real break from stress and cooking. Great balcony with direct stair access to the water and lots of fun things to do. Best donut shop 15 minutes away in downtown White Stone, Chesapeake donuts is great. Beautiful property and easy parking."

"The only positive about this place in my opinion, is its location. The view looking AWAY from the house are wonderful. The house and property are old, dilapidated and not at all maintained. I did not expect it to be a perfect venue, but the photos posted by the property owner DO NOT represent the conditions in and around the house. Not only is in poor repair, it is not kept clean either. There was no trash can or trash bags inside. The trash can on the porch was full of garbage when we arrived....
