"DO NOT STAY HERE. We were hoping for a resort-style place to unwind for a day before we travelled to Sapa. We arrived at 6am hoping for an early check-in. We paid NZD90 for a night and were charged USD80 (NZD120) to check in early. Breakfast was sparse and tastes awful - this place had the worst selection we have encountered so far. This was by far our favorite stay on our trip throughout Vietnam! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and even booked an amazing tour for us. Hotel is new (only two years old), so everything looks new. Good WiFi, elevator available, firm bed, quick hot water, strong water pressure, helpful and polite staff, nice lightning setup, big fridge, internet TV, safe,quiet. However, no restaurants close by, no recommendations for anything from the hotel, unclear bus routes, lack of information about transportation to different parts of the province. So, it's inconvenient for travelers without private means of transportation.

We had stayed in sapa at another location for a few nights and we booked the clay house as a splurge/treat. We were blown away by all the small details they’d included in the stay— even a diffuser in the room on for our arrival and they turned the heating blanket on for us while we were at dinner and they were replacing some items. This is most definitely a 5 star hotel stay!! The staff is incredible they go above and beyond on every level. From front desk reception restaurant service and housekeeping! Honestly I have been all over Europe France Spain and Italy Portugal New Zealand Australia and have stayed at many so called 5 star hotels and have never experienced the level of care and hospitality that I was given at this 10 star hotel.

The property is beautiful. It’s quiet and has beautiful views of the rice crops and also to the funicular of Fansipan. The rooms are beautiful and really comfy. The hotel is really close to the station which is the building with the clock there you can get the funicular that will take you to Sunworld Fansipan. Walking distance is like 11 minutes and like 13 to the town of Sapa. The only cons is that there is a construction in the block so if it’s raining you will get your shoes with mud, but...

Knowing that this was a newly opened hotel, we expected some quirks and ongoing improvements. But it is easy to see that this place is special and that the management and team from the manager, to reception to room attendants are well trained, very professional and eager to please. The location above the main sapa square is very convenient, yet away from the hectic energy around the square. Overall Sapa was a very pleasant experience and I can highly recommend both the city and this new resort....
