"The Chateau Colbert has been extensively restored over the past 20 years or so to a very high standard. This has obviously been a labour of love for the present owners. The rooms are very comfortable and the views over the river and forests were outstanding. The food and service were exceptional and the dining room was a wonderful place to eat. They have the largest Japanese garden in Europe which we definitely return to see. The Chateau is highly recommended."

The beds were not adequate with my husband who is 6'2 and myself having the two single beds, the boys refused to share the queen sized badly worn bed, therefore one of my sons slept on the floor.
