Super convenient and very clean

We didn’t get to enjoy this hotel long enough! We arrived late and the front desk person called us to assure us he’s available even though the door was locked. Beautifully designed and so so comfortable and clean. My favourite was the towel warmer such a treat to get out the shower after a 5 hour drive and that roof view!

Centrally located in the Old Port, with views of the harbor, this was a last minute — therefore pricey — excellent find for a fall weekend getaway. We were looking for a hotel in Bangor, Maine using the internet. After looking at the pictures on line and a good price we decided to try this hotel. The room was very large and modern.

We booked our stay at The Federal just because it looked nice and seemed like a good price. What we discovered was a wonderful and chic hotel with an extremely comfortable room in a completely remodeled hotel. We’ll definitely stay at The Federal again.

What a charming place to stay. We were given homemade cookies on arrival. The room was lovely, bed was comfy. We had a porch overlooking the water. The room had extra towels and we each got a mint on our pillows with a towel sculpture. Everything was spotless. Bonus: A big, friendly orange kitty lolling on the lobby counter when we checked out. This place is great.

Very clean. Beautiful room and in the heart of downtown. Really enjoyed our overnight stay on a Tuesday. 10 minute Uber to airport as well.

This hotel is in the perfect location to walk to everything around the waterfront. I had a really late check in because of a delayed flight and the staff was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Portland!

Reception staff present, courteous, pleasant informative. Room spotless, Covid-19 disinfection steps obvious. Bed and linens were great, very comfortable.
