"Clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, excellent shower. Did not have any meals so can’t comment on those. Reception staff very friendly and welcoming. Only criticism is that the room was too warm for our liking even with the heating off."

"The room staff breakfast all more than good But the down side for me was the tv I'm 64 years old and my hearing is not great now I do understand the volume not going so loud as to disturb the next room but the volume goes from 1 to 100 so why set it at 10 I had to sit right next to it to hear it never been to a hotel that has it set below 20"

Grounds have some interesting photo opportunities for weddings but disjointed and tacky for any other time."

"Comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, extra pillows on request, and a well-kept home feel. She is also equipped with celiac kitchen safety, if you should need! We stopped over for one night and wished we had stayed longer! Lovely place to rest, Jane and Nigel were most accommodating and great for a chat! All best x"

"A really pleasant stay overall. The room was generously sized, clean and well presented, and breakfast was a good spread to set you up for the day. Finding the entrance on arrival was a little tricky, though that's more a familiarity thing than a reflection on the place itself. Would happily return and recommend."

"We stayed at the house for 4 days in January as a group of 7 with 3 children. From the minute we booked Diane couldn't have been more helpful. Diane, her husband and Emma the housekeeper all welcomed us on arrival and showed us around the house. We had the most amazing stay, the house has everything one needs and more. It was spotless , the kitchen was well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The locals were very welcoming and friendly and everything we needed was close by. None of us wanted...

"The room did the job - but numerous issues. Missing some basic necessities like a bedside light. Had to use the public wifi from the bar downstairs which was choppy at best. The problems started right from the beginning. Check in according to the website was 10:00pm. But at 8:30pm I had a message saying I wouldn't be able to check in after 9 as the bar shuts at that point. I was on a train so unable to get there for that time, and somebody very kindly stayed to let me in, but they still...
