This lake is part of Tama River, and the water here is especially blue. It's a popular spot for weekend drives and day trips from the city, especially for those who want to treck or hike along the river. Okutama area is also very popular for their fall foliage in November.

This is one of my favorite places to get away from the city!

Closest station: Shiromaru Station on the Ome Line, approximately 1.5h from Shinjuku.

"Staying at this property was truly an incredible experience. My wife and I (American tourists visiting Japan for the first time) stayed here for 3 nights. "Our stay at Ruokan Hiyoshi was the highlight of our day trip to Chichibu.
