Lovely hotel in the walled city of Carcassone. Great setup for parking since you can't park in the city. They have a special parking lot where you leave your car and they have car service to pickup you and your luggage and deliver you to the hotel. Private event in their dining room when we were there but they made reservations for us in a lovely restaurant a few door down (Comte Roger) and was one of the best of our trip. We spent our last night in France at this hotel. The check in staff was incredible. They were extremely welcoming and helpful. I had purchased a lot of items in glass bottles and asked Stephanie at the front desk where I might purchase packaging materials. As it was Easter, all the shops were closed. She consulted with the kitchen staff and soon they had gathered up newspaper and other materials to ensure my French products all arrived home safely. This hotel was wonderful. Carcassonne is a special town and the hotel exceeded our expectations. It is located at the base of the castle with excellent views of the castle and surrounding hillsides. The restaurant offers an open-air experience, and we enjoyed happy hour wine in the evening then a lovely breakfast in the morning. The room itself was the best part - eloquent yet comfortable. We will stay here again when we visit Carcassonne.
