AMAZING! This hotel is beautiful... I felt like I was in the Garden of Eden. I loved everything about it. The food, the pool, the pristine rooms with an incredible bathroom and shower. If you are looking for a place to relax and forget the world, this is it.

We loved staying here. it was a romantic, pampered experience. Manager Scott made us feel very welcome and the wonderful staff were warm and helpful and friendly. The view and the pool and the surroundings are simply heavenly. I would recommend it very highly to anyone seeking an adult-only, beautifully appointed small boutique hotel in a lush, gorgeous setting.

From the first interaction with Steven in reception (complimentary glass of wine upon arrival), to their willingness to help. The Hotel has 10 private villas, each very spacious and romantic. Our patio had a private plunge pool connected to a 6" deep pool area for lounge chairs "in the water". The villas are buried in dense vegetation giving the sense that you are in the jungle (which you are) on a hill providing panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak English very well, which helps those without strong Spanish. The grounds are beautiful! The little hiking trail is fun and the multiple hot tubs with some privacy were a nice place to relax. They even serve food and drinks at the pool! This property is very relaxed and welcoming. The staff are highly attentive and really take care of you while you are on site. The addition of the animal sanctuary makes it a very eco-friendly destination. We stayed for one week during which the surrounding jungle and wildlife were the stars of the show.

We had a fantastic stay at Encantada. The staff is amazing!!! Kate, Adam, Daniel and the rest of the crew were so friendly, nice and helpful. The rooms were comfy and right on the beach. Arrived early and given keys to unit 3 hours before regular check in. Office staff friendly and very accomodating. No paperwork and no credit card asked for at check in. Room was amazing. Large rooms nicely furnished. Excellent a/c. TV's in both bedrooms and living room. Tambor Tropical is an exceptionally well cared for property. We were well taken care of by very friendly and attentive staff. The hotel is a great place for a quiet and peaceful getaway. This isn't a comment towards the hotel, but we felt important for visitors to know that the beach isn't a great swimming beach. It is great for sunrises, long walks, and not sharing it with many other people.

Wonderful small hotel (9 rooms) owned and managed by fun, warm and welcoming couple. Very nice hotel on Herradura Beach.The hotel and the people are very good.The swimming poll is the best atracttion.But the hotel is boring,are not enough activities if you dont go on tour or practice golf.The food is very expensive in all restaurants inside and in the Marina.A big supermarket is about 500 meters from the hotel.Jaco town is about 10 minutes.

Cocomar is a wonderful retreat along a quiet beach, away from the hustle and bustle of nearby beach towns. My girlfriend and I thought the resort was incredible and one of the more tranquil beach locations we have ever stayed. There can't be more than a 35-40 person capacity with 2 rooms per beach house. Guests spoke a few different languages and primarily kept to themselves (great if you are looking to decompress).
