"Sorry we must rate the Tallink Hotel “good” instead of excellent, though the staff, the amenities, the breakfasts were excellent. The reason is that our immaculate bathroom always smelled like a sewer."

"The Grand Hotel is superbly located. As I entered the lobby, I was warmly greeted and advised of the location of breakfast and also the times On arrival at my room I was immediately impressed by the amount of space I had and how richly furnished and decorated it was. The king sized bed was very comfortable and high standard furnishings were provided, along with effective air conditioning. Rooms were serviced daily and bedlinen changed every two days as a standard. The room was immaculately clean. Breakfast was a very high standard affair and the staff members worked together seamlessly as a team. My principal server was Olexander, who was both efficient and friendly. There was a generous buffet available, There was also a separate menu of egg dishes available and these were individually prepared. On my first evening I spoke with the concierge, Markaus, whom I found to be extremely personable and friendly. Markaus made me feel to be an individual guest who was valued, and he clearly loved his job. His enthusiasm was infectious. Markaus took the time to ask about my plans and he enhanced these by suggesting that I visit Majori by train. He also recommended the Petergailis restaurant. I visited both. The hotel had a high-class spa, which is fully available to guests. Access to the pool and sauna etc is complimentary. This reviewer expects very high standards from a 5* hotel and The Grand Hotel Riga certainly delivered this. A most enjoyable and memorable stay."

"This is a beautiful boutique hotel vety modem . Room was large very comfortable bed,, netspresso coffee machine nice touch ..bathroom was perfect with large shower enclosure with perfect hot flow .. Breakfast was continental style with mostly cold fare One minus point was the static /electric shock from the buttons on the lift .. I did inform the staff about this said engineer was coming to fix .. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel 👍 10/10"
