"If you want to sleep in a room About the size of a garden shed, where there isn’t a wardrobe, drawers and couple hooks on wall to hang your clothes. If you want a double bed wedged against a wall, so you have to climb over the person sharing your bed. Who may not be a partner. Then this is the place for you."

"It was a ok stay . Local to a few bars and restaurants. We were on the 2nd floor which was accessed by a lift . However to get to the room we had to negotiate 2 sets of steps which was annoying when you have large heavy suitcases . No complementary water in room ?? Overpriced in my opinion, but its Bristol!!"

"A hidden haven within a UNESCO busy tourist town. Escape the crowds by walking down a quiet street and into a tranquil and elegant hotel where the staff make a special effort for their guests. A daily pleasure to either soak in the hotel's hot spring pools or to complete the roman bath rituals and a guilty pleasure for this is a complimentary benefit to hotel guests (within the hours of 8-10 am and 7-9 pm). The beds are so-o comfortable that it is tempting to sleep in instead of going exploring....

"When we got there the room was not as we expected there was stains on the wall rips in the wallpaper the shower was broken the door was very hard to shut. When we went to go out there was a stair rail that had broken I had told manger and he said he would fix it. When we come back the raining had just been tucked behind the wall paper that was hanging off the wall."

"Great and memorable stay. The food was excellent, especially the dinner and I would rate this place 10/10. The staff were very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist us, showing great flexibility throughout our stay. The rooms were exceptional, truly beyond words. I have travelled extensively and stayed in many places and this is one of the best places we have stayed."

"Having paid for a reservation several months ago for two nights 24-26th June when I checked in I was told there was no room available. The receptionist claimed there was an IT issue but the hotel was very busy so clearly other people had been checked in. The apology was absolutely minimal, no compensation and no effort made to inform me in the days leading up to the reservation there was an issue. I found the whole experience highly unacceptable for a global corporation to behave letting me down...

"Staff was so nice and helpful. Room was in the basement. Window to pipes, wires and cement walls. Crooked floor and broken iron. Terrible value for the price. Shocked it was a Marriott proposal. Wouldn’t stay again"

"We received a lovely welcome when we checked in and we were upgraded to a larger room with a waterside view. The hotel is perfectly located for the Bristol Sounds events and provides easy access to a wide range of food and drink options. We booked for bed and breakfast and we are glad we did, the buffet breakfast offered a selection of hot and cold choices and the breakfast room is delightful."

"Unterkunft mit kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz etwas oberhalb von Bath. Service im Restaurant sehr aufmerksam, freundliche und hilfsbereite Rezeptionisten. Das Haus ist sehr verwinkelt und trotz Aufzug können auf dem Weg ins Zimmer Treppen kommen. Die Zimmer sind zweckdienlich."

"The hotel is really well positioned to explore Bath on foot. We stayed 3 nights. Our experience could have been better - overall it was ok. On arrival, we discovered a used towel from the previous guests hanging on the back of the door, and a half eaten apple was in the fridge. We asked reception to come and sort it out, but had to return to ask them to do something, before the desk clerk turned up and chucked replacement towels on the bed three hours later. It was ok, just not great. ...

"Worst experience ever! The day I left de hotel I forgot my jacket in the closet, I contact them 2 hours later I leave the place and they told me the cleaning lady wasn’t finished so I have to call again tomorrow so I did and well… they literally stole it!, 3 days waiting for a call from them that never happened, and when they finally answer the phone it was just to find out that the people working there stole a jacket, that’s a shame!,"

"The hotel was in a good position in the city centre with close access to Cabot Circus and fantastic to be issued with free car parking. We had paid more for a larger room, king-size bed and bath robes, slippers etc. The room was large but a bit tired. Stains on the floor, a ripped bed base and the shower head was clogged with scale so we cleaned this and the shower bracket seized but we couldn't fix this so unfortunately water sprayed against the wall but we managed. No robes or slippers in the...
