"We 1st went November to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The weather,service, food, drink, and employees were fabulous. So in January we booked again and it was better than the 1st time. The staff actually remembered us!! Andre (pool bar), Jason, Nevin and Hagrain made our trip worth every penny. We would highly recommend this resort . Unfortunately it's closing for renovations. We're hoping the same staff return."

"My stay at the hotel was great. When we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming. The surroundings were clean. The staff that dealt with us throughout our stay there, customer service was great. They ensure that you are taken care of. The wait time for our room was a bit long, but we found things to do until the time passed."

"Riu Montego Bay is definitely a party resort. There will be daily Resort hosted parties towards the end of the night but even more so the resort seemed to be overwhelmed by youthful adults wanting that " party" experience with a focus on hooking up. This isn't a bad thing at all but something to be mindful of if you're looking for a more relaxed vibe. The resort is central and an easy commute to a lot of excursions and the night club scene with notable clubs. The resort beach was beautiful and much more refreshing and cleaner than the pools. The buffet food was pretty good but will say the sports bar that has the late-night eats is underwhelming to say the least. They only serve a few things that might've been there all day. The nacho station is also poorly maintained as the protein option is rarely available. Our room service was impeccable, cleaned daily and cleaned well with no personal items turning up missing. Lastly, the general vibes of Riu, the guest and sometimes the staff and perhaps just Jamaica in general was highly sexualized. People will constantly flirt with you and sometimes touch you without permission and inquire about personal information. I was told by a guest to keep my wits about me considering I was a female traveler, so I just recommend the same. Keep a buddy system, don't give out too much personal information, particularly when you're checking out of your hotel and stay safe."

"The handle to my room came off, there were no blankets and they started renovations while we were still staying at the resort. The noise and all of the debris was very inconvenient. But the swim up bar, having access to other resorts, the parties and fun were amazing."

"Beautiful in every way. I had multiple stays booked that’s why I’m reviewing twice. I have stayed at all the luxury resorts in Jamaica and I keep returning to the S hotel for a reason. It’s small enough to feel intimate whilst still giving you choices of pools bars & restaurants. The location is fab and the staff are outstanding. The S hotel remains my favourite time & time again."

"The owners were very attentive; they accommodated our arrival time and gave us tips about the city—they were very kind. The house was beautiful, and the room was incredibly bright, featuring a terrace with an amazing view of the surrounding nature. The pool was clean, and the outdoor area, was stunning. The only thing that seemed disproportionate to me was the A/C fee—$50 per night struck me as excessive."
