"The hotel was in a good location. The rooms were clean and of a good size (family room). The sofa bed was acceptable for a child but Iess so for an adult, as expected. The breakfast was very good, plenty of options in the buffet and one of the staff even offered to make fresh pancakes for the kids, which was very well received. "We spent three nights here. The hotel is wonderful. Staff, breakfast and service was excellent. We will certainly stay here the next time we come to Karlstad. Also interesting history of the former prison and well designed museum. Highly recommended!"

"We were visiting our foreign exchange daughter and her family. The hotel was lovely. Our room over-looked the river. It was spacious and comfortable. American-sized shower! The breakfast buffet was amazing. We loved the location, which was walking distance to everything. The pub "Bishop's Arms" was perfect for unwinding after a long day. We would certainly stay there again."
