"We spent three nights here. The hotel is wonderful. Staff, breakfast and service was excellent. We will certainly stay here the next time we come to Karlstad. Also interesting history of the former prison and well designed museum. Highly recommended!"

"It's a historic hotel, but has been carefully renovated and modernized. Loved the included dinner in addition to breakfast. Only negative was the ongoing railroad improvements construction across the street, but hopefully that will be concluded soon."

"The hotel was in a good location. The rooms were clean and of a good size (family room). The sofa bed was acceptable for a child but Iess so for an adult, as expected. The breakfast was very good, plenty of options in the buffet and one of the staff even offered to make fresh pancakes for the kids, which was very well received. "The hotel didn't have own check-in, it was in an another hotel near that looked fancy and had nice staff. Our hotel was situated inside a apartment-building. The flow of the water in the bathroom sink was very slow. Small and warm room. We needed to have the window open during night to keep the temperature ok. A lot of noices outside the window early in the morning (some machine was running). The breakfast were in the building where the check-in was, but it was cold when we got there and there...

"Jättefint läge på campingen och stugan var stor, men våningssängar var ingen höjdare dem gnissla och lät varje gång man rörde sig de minsta lilla. Fanns ingen info om att restaurangen stängt för säsongen, glassmaskinen var trasig, affären hade i princip noll i utbud detta resulterade i att onödig tid gick till att vara in till Säffle för att handla osv."

"We were visiting our foreign exchange daughter and her family. The hotel was lovely. Our room over-looked the river. It was spacious and comfortable. American-sized shower! The breakfast buffet was amazing. We loved the location, which was walking distance to everything. The pub "Bishop's Arms" was perfect for unwinding after a long day.
