This could possibly have been our best bed and breakfast day of our entire lives and it had plenty of competition! We unconditionally recommend Haus Hanika.

Stayed here 6 days and it was amazing. Owned by a wonderful couple who want to make your stay as comfortable as possible! Breakfast was wonderful and was great to have healthy, fresh food every morning! The cottage is right on the lake, so the view of the lake is amazing and there are plenty of seating so you can kick back and enjoy a nice evening!

This Inn is fantastic! We can’t say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Owner Jessica and her husband Mike are so warm, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and well appointed. The bed is very comfortable. Fully equipped bathroom, mini fridge and TV in our room. Jessica makes a very tasty breakfast and it is nicely presented. If you let her know in advance of food allergies she will try and accommodate. Coffee and cookies are available in the large and comfortable living room....

This place is 110+ years old and really a delight to stay in because they haven't changed things very much. Gives you a snapshot of how hotels operated a century ago.

Fantastic venue! I do wish there was a way for hotel guests to get into their concert without going outside and waiting in line - it’s boutique with only 13 rooms - you’d think they could accommodate for that - especially when it’s cold or the weather is ridiculous like it was during the Dessa concert 😅But that said, it was beautiful, the furnishings were nice - the bathroom sink fixtures were loose, pretty, but need to be tightened so easier to use. This is truly a unique experience: old time house with modern paintings. Could have stayed more just sitting in front of the fireplace. The winner of our award for best breakfast. Great bed. Very clean. Nothing needed fixing. Be prepared to hike your suitcase up the stairs and to step into an old fashioned bathtub. Very nice neighborhood. We walked to dinner.

I booked this hotel based on location, proximity to the ocean, and what appeared to be a fun attitude. Restricting guests to those over 18 years old played a part, as well.
