We liked the property and the privacy there. The service people are very friendly, The food is good but could be a bit more fancy. The quality of the offeredtea ( tea bags of the simplest) would have to be improved. Please compare the offer of other 5 stars hotels in the world.

Beautiful, peaceful oasis in a great location for walking to all the lovely leafy plazas. Wonderful breakfasts in the most beautiful garden courtyard. The staff are kind, helpful, sweet and generous at all times of day or night. The entire experience of this hotel, from the beautiful front gate to the rooms, setting, colors of walls and fabrics, and fantastic staff… just spectacular. The Hotel Haciendo was our perfect oasis from the heat and pace of spending the day exploring Merida. The service was truly impeccable, and having breakfast available every morning was a great and delicious way to start the day. We would absolutely stay here again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms are great, the public areas are airy and spacious and covered in lush greenery. The restaurant was good too - I especially enjoyed the flank steak. At the weekend this is a perfect spot - the Mexican Nights musical program takes place right outside the hotel so you have a ringside seat. Then on Sundays you can stroll the Paseo Montejo just up the road - it is closed for traffic on Sunday morning so families are out on their bikes. There is great...

It was about a 20 minute walk to the Cathedral, and many shops and restaurants. Shopping centers in front and back of hotel. I drove from Cancun and getting to the hotel was a little tricky. The colonial buildings and houses were amazing in downtown centro Merida overall it was wonderful, also drove to Progresso which was only about 45 minutes away, wonderful beach and food.

We had a great 7 night stay here. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. I had a problem with my debit card on the last day and Enrique was awesome in helping resolve my issue. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely and charming hotel in the very heart of Centro in Merida. The location is perfect for exploring around the old city on foot with restaurants, parks, plazas, galleries and markets all within easy walking distance. Although located bang on busy Calle 60, most of the rooms are set back in a beautiful central courtyard overlooking a garden area and the pool, and offer a very tranquil setting with no noise or disturbance from the street. The room was pristine, comfortable bed, fresh sheets & towels. Seems like the walls are sound attenuated. Had coffee and toast, left early. Gym is rather small. A very pleasant, restful stay.

My husband and I stayed for a week while visiting family in Merida. On our last trip we had stopped in the Hotel Carib late in the afternoon for a cool Cuba Libre and enjoyed the atmosphere: black and white polished tiled floors, arches all around, courtyard with a fountain and flowers, and guitar players tuning up for the evening! Very romantic. This trip the hotel was part of an airline/hotel bundle. The hotel is a former Catholic College (17th century) and includes a mix of religious images....

I used the accommodation to sleep and shower. I choose this place because it was close to the plaza and the fruit and food market and most places to walk around and shop and eat.

We loved the Piedra de Agua Hotel!! LOCATION LOCATION!!! Located 1/2 block from Plaza de Armas/Catedral, shopping and great restaurants. Staff at hotel was awesome, they went beyond to make us feel comfortable, provide us with lots of area details, they even accompany us to the church were we had a wedding. Food was great!!! People cooking and serving us were incredible!!! LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT!!

The hotel has 2 nice pools that are great for relaxing after visiting the ruins. The restaurant has limited choice on the menu, but the food is tasty and reasonably priced. My only complaint is that the mattresses were a bit hard.
