"Vasia Royal Hotel is an amazing hotel, with super staff ready to help you any way they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Head staff Anthnious, Elefteria and Valentina at the restaurant just to name a few were amazing, always smiling, always trying to help. The rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh towels whenever we needed them. The food was nice, with Greek influence. The hotel is near the main bus line going towards Malia, so it was easy to get to eith Heraklion or back to the hotel. Overall an amazing holiday, worth booking the hotel."

"Great family resort with multiple pools and activities. Good for younger kids and families who are mostly looking to spend their time at the hotel. A few decent shops and restaurants nearby and nice beaches a 10 minute walk. Taxis are expensive in the islands. €35 from airport to resort. 15-20 min"

"Wonderful welcome from wonderful staff. Nothing feels like too much trouble. The standard room was basic but was perfectly sufficient for our needs and cleaned every day. The hotel has a boutique style with 2 nice outdoor pools and one indoor, next to the small but sufficiently equipped gym. Unfortunately we did not have time to try out the spa treatments but the staff were also very nice in there. We were half-board and found the food to be excellent - lots of choice, very fresh and again, wonderful staff. I travelled with my teenage daughter and we were glad to see a variety of different people and age groups at the hotel, couples, groups and families. The location is also very good. It is in a quiet area within walking distance (20 mins) of the beach, some shops, tavernas and bars. There are bus stops close by to take you to busier areas such as Heraklion and Hersonissos, which we used frequently. The hotel also facilitates car rental (for the brave) as well as airport transfers, which we used on arrival and were very happy with. The one and only criticism is reserving sunbeds with towels. The hotel states that they do not allow it but it happened daily and no one acted upon it. It meant that we spent very little of our time in the hotel using their facilities. I think if you have a policy, you should stick to it. It was very frustrating to see reserved beds left for many hours unoccupied."

"We loved this location! Our host was so helpful answering questions and so welcoming! Great location central to so many activities. Really comfortable place to relax with family and friends and plenty of room to enjoy a nice bottle of wine on a beautiful balcony after a day of activities. We wish we could have stayed longer!"

"Great sea front location (beautiful sunset), walking distance to few restaurants, and with friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and clean and very functional, though not the most luxurious (likely 2-3 star). Included breakfast was also good. One thing I did not like is that the access to the hotel and vicinity is not that polished (area looks run down with an under developed feel, even though the hotel itself is decent and well maintained)."

"Host was super helpful. He provided some food treats upon arrival and some homemade Raki. Also provide some homemade honey suites half way through our stay. Great location. Very close to the beach. They also had wonderful decks to view the sunset and sunrise."
