"Location, location, location! Just perfect for staging our outings to Muir Woods and Point Reyes. Just as described and great communication with host. Our drive from the SF airport was not bad and getting to the house was easy. Thanks for a great getaway."

"Excellent value for money. The studio is well-appointed with everything you need - full kitchen, coffee maker and French press, good linens, comfortable bed, great TV, and an amazing view over Mill Valley. Very easy to park and also good access to walking trails (uphill, but good exercise!). Host was very communicative and also respected privacy."

"Great host … good communicator and very accommodating to our requests. Only issues are the unit was a little small, not really walking distance to downtown, and the unit is located in a family’s backyard so not completely private. Not major problems to be sure."

"This studio cottage was in a quiet, yet convenient location for accessing SF and the ammenities along Hwy 1 in Marin. Despite being in the backyard, we never saw anyone in the main house -- the garden was very nice and pleasant to relax in. The indoor space was modern and clean. Definitely would recommend if you want to have easy access to Marin nature and SF. The only downside we had was the lack of a dishwasher -- since we cooked in a lot, it required a lot of scrubbing."

"Our host, Joan was lovely. She has an artistic flare and a genuine love of living things, which made us feel at home, as we came from New England. She was friendly and helpful without being at all intrusive. My 5 yr old Grandaughter loved the very calm doodle dog and the day bed and the 2 fawn nibbling outside the patio. Unsure how she kept all her heirloom plants and many collectables impeccably dustfree. I was not prepared for the winding hills and unique terrain but became comfortable quickly overcome by its beauty. Our trip to Muir Woods was just what we wanted and took our hosts advice for anice dinner in the tiny beachtown of Stinson Beach. I’m glad my wimpy daughter in law bowed out as she would be ill on the twisting mountain roads."

"Location cannot be beat. You feel like you’re in the forest, but you’re just a short walk to downtown Mill Valley and trails. It’s a beautiful cozy property- it really does feel like you’re in the trees! The host was great with communicating throughout prior to check in, during our stay & for check out. Traveled with our child and our dogs. We will definitely be back!"

"This beautiful little cottage was a gift when we needed to make changes in vacation plans. Rusty is an exceptional communicator, she graciously accepted the last-minute request for our stay and helped us troubleshoot an issue, all while she was on vacation herself! As a couple who had never explored Marin County, this cottage was the perfect home away from home base for our adventures. The neighborhood and surrounding redwood trees lend a cool and tranquil feel to the cottage, and very importantly, the bed is so comfortable! A huge thank you to Rusty for her hospitality, communication, and her role making this an idyllic stay!"
