Gold Miners Inn Grass Valley, an Ascend Collection Hotel
8/10 Good
"The Gold Miner's Inn is very clean and nicely decorated. The rooms have plenty of room and a comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and they offer water for your room as well as a nightly glass of wine downstairs in the main entry room.
The breakfast was okay, especially take and go items, but the hash browns were soggy and the oatmeal had not been turned on to cook. The walls clearly have no insulation as you can hear everything outside the building and every word your neighbor says. Our bathroom fan did not work."
"This historic building has been thoughtfully updated, preserving all of its original architectural features. Very attentive staff, with a nice restaurant and bar. The upstairs lounge area is a great spot to enjoy.
No elevator, no complaints; it’s over 150 years old. Small rooms are expected, but the room was comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed and upgraded. Needs more electrical outlets, so consider bringing your outlet strip. No TV, no problem.
Nevada City is a fun little town."
"I stayed at Sierra Mountain Inn for three nights and had a great experience. The stay was very comfortable, peaceful, and enjoyable from start to finish. The property was clean and well maintained, and the location was perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything went smoothly during our stay, and the overall atmosphere made it feel very welcoming. I would definitely recommend Sierra Mountain Inn to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay here again!"

"I had a wonderful evening out in the yurt. The property was absolutely beautiful day and night. I loved the bathtub in the yurt as well! The main house was so fun and decorated in a way that you can spend hours looking at. All in all it was a very fun stay!"
