"This house is a one of a kind gem. The beautifully wooded setting can be enjoyed in every direction through large glass windows and doors. The kitchen is well equipped and many basics for cooking are provided. We loved every element of this uniquely designed retreat and hope to return."

"The home is listed as whole home with your party but you do share it with another individual if its been also rented out. The rooms were clean, no buildup in the bathroom. No issues. Staff. Texting was fine but communication with the individual cleaning had a language barrier. I can't say much for the kitchen as I didn't stay long enough. Parking, It mentions to park in front of the chairs but you should park at an angle so you don't get blocked in like I was. Outside the minor of issues, it was good."

"This suite was amazing. They catered to the dogs by proving a dog bed and bowls. Communicating via the VRBO app was extremely delayed (it was a couple days for message to send or receive) the host was easy to talk to face to face. Being so close to beaches and the Matticks shopping was a bonus"

"We had a wonderful time. The apartment was clean, very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Butchart Gardens was less than 10 minutes away and downtown Victoria was 30 minutes at the most.Do read Mike's driving instructions as The Hideaway is nearly impossible to find if you don't. If one has difficulty with stairs, this might not be a good choice. The property itself is secluded and if you have a dog that needs a place to be exercised, there is plenty of opportunities for that.We would come back without hesitation."
