It’s a beautiful property. The house was built in 1885 so in need of some maintenance but it is full of lovely architectural details and antiques. The breakfast was very nice. We enjoyed our stay, my only complaint was the bed was very hard.

The hotel is a one of a kind! The staff are super friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Rachel was especially hospitable. The breakfast was initially somewhat disappointing due to being used to open buffets, but the more we stayed, the more we enjoyed it and it's varieties.

Overall I had a wonderful time. The breakfast was incredible, the property is wonderful. I have no complaints at all, except there were a few things in the room not clean. There was a dirty hand towel on the washroom floor, a long black hair on one of the hand towels by the sink, a lot of toothpaste residue on the shelf above the sink and 4-5 small black hairs inside the bathtub. Also, the jets in the bathtub didn’t work, which wasn’t a big deal but disappointing because I was looking forward to using it

Should be noted that the Garden Gate room is *outside* the main house on the ground floor and the one lock is on French doors. Also, there is only a tub, and it is ENORMOUS, and not so easy to get in and out of. If you are a walker, it is a lovely long walk through the neighbourhood to get to a grocery store and the ocean. Staff was excellent, and breakfasts were huge and very delicious.
