"This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel, and we love the peaceful location by the water and it being the “back of the house” in Sound a Music. It now has a bar in it too! It’s 1-2 miles to old town, but we didn’t mind a walk or uber. Would definitely stay again!"

"A really nice boutique hotel which was comfortable for our family of four. Located steps from the fortress and the town square we could easily walk or jump on the city transit (included in the stay). I would recommend reserving parking in advance as spaces are limited."

"Good location with easy transport links. Very useful to have twenty four hour reception and check in, staff at the desk were always very helpful and friendly. Breakfast had a good range of choice, and a good size room so even when busy, didn’t feel overcrowded. The bar downstairs is nice - great for people watching the lobby! "The hotel is in a great area however you can’t drive there because there are gates around old town. You need to make sure to call the hotel and get the address of a parking structure near the hotel, then we had to drag our luggage over from the parking which is about 10 minutes walk. There are gates on both sides of the town that if you are a first timer, you will have a hard time figuring out. The hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel. Very minimalistic, barely any toiletries, it’s LOUD and even the fans in the room are loud and have bright lights. So if you can’t leave the window open, you are stuck with loud fans with bright blue lights. Location wise it’s in the middle of everything and the staff was SUPER friendly. "
