About this property
Duneside Retreat | Bonfire | BBQ | Downtown Access
- Summary:
Welcome to the Duneside Retreat.
This beautiful, open-concept home is ideally situated between the "twin-cities" (Saugatuck and Douglas), allowing you to enjoy both at a moment's notice. Just north of the historic Root Beer Barrel and on the way to Oval Beach, the Duneside Retreat offers the perfect blend of coastal luxury, convenience, and natural beauty.
The Space:
Set between the beautiful beach towns of Saugatuck / Douglas, the Duneside Retreat has it all. Savor the mornings with a steaming cup of coffee on the inviting front porch and let the evenings unfold with the warmth of a crackling bonfire in your backyard. Walk, bike, or drive to many of the best beaches, natural trails, local cafes, shops, and restaurants (make sure not to miss one of the local's most beloved coffee shops right on the corner during your stay!)
Ideal, Central Location:
• This modern escape is located just a 3 minute drive (or 10 minute bike ride) to downtown Douglas / Saugatuck. Enjoy strolling Center Street and hitting all the restaurants and shops that these quaint towns have to offer.
• Douglas: From famous antique shops to locally roasted coffee, jam and jelly shops, there is no shortage of fabulous places to ignite your senses in this charming beach town.
• Saugatuck: Walk to the Saugatuck Chain Ferry. In service since 1838, this little boat is chain-pulled across the famous Kalamazoo River and drops you right in the heart of Saugatuck. With this town’s prominent art scene, boasting various festivals throughout the seasons, you are sure to find plenty of entertainment for you and your guests. Saugatuck allows open containers in the "social district" off Butler and Water Streets. Enjoy a beverage from one of the local watering holes and feel free to bring it with you as you explore the riverfront.
