"We enjoyed our week"s stay at Trevelyan. We stayed in a basic double room, which was good for us. The daily breakfast was great - full English breakfast or scrambled eggs on toast, with tea/coffee, toast and jam and assorted cereals - perfect. The staff were very attentive during breakfast. For us, Trevelyan was perfectly situated between the Electric Railway and central Douglas just half a mile away. Would recommend."

"Opul Boutique is new and you can tell its been 'revamped' quickly and on a budget. Bedding etc is all clean and new but furniture is tired. In room equipment (TV, coffee machine etc) is all new. Wifi did not extend to the room effectively and kept dropped out and the table to work on was too small. The rooms are spacious an plain on the walls. Given the history of the building this seems like a missing opportunity. Additionally there are no curtains up so light comes in and will affect you if you are a light affected sleeper. Breakfast was inconsistent as one day it was a buffet and the other day it was cooked to order. Other than that the selection and food was nice. The 'cafe' may be open until 10pm but it does not serve food. This should be outlined on the booking (as it's not really a cafe with no food). For walkers and personal travelers this does the job but for business travelers I would say there are better alternatives on the Island. "

"This was an old building with beautiful architecture, a modern bathroom and a perfect location. There is no lift and the halls were a bit narrow so getting suitcases around was a little challenging but the staff was great and very helpful. "
