"Our hosts, Maria Eugenia and Jose, were amazing! Kind, informative, generous, helpful, I can't say enough about them. We stayed for four days, two couples in the larger home. It was spacious, each couple with their own bathroom. We ate most of our meals at home. Our comadre caught a cold right upon arrival. She had a comfortable place to read, rest and recover, while we enjoyed the pool and had such a wonderful outing in the boat on the Douro river. This was definitely a once in a life time...

"Fatima welcomed and attended to us as if we were family. Deonilde delivered fresh bread in the morning and did our laundry. The view was spectacular, especially poolside. Well equipped kitchen, two modern bathrooms and yes, the Wifi works! Other than the first night dinner out, we enjoyed eating on the lovely terrace."

There was a bedroom and bath upstairs and a bedroom and bath plus another half bath downstairs with a kitchen that was compact but had everything you needed and a lovely outdoor space. "Loved the room. Very spacious, nice, and clean. The shower alone was amazing and deserves 5 stars on its own. The staff was very accomodating to my plant-based breakfast request and made sure I had enough food. Our room safe battery died right before our check out and the staff resved the issue in a very professional and fast manner. The area is great too. Would stay here again. "
