Walk to Kelsey Lake: Cassopolis Home w/ Yard!

"The cabin is quaint, bright and airy. It is NOT young family oriented. The kitchen is well stocked with the essentials - dishes, pots & pans, etc. There's a crock pot and blender. There is a turntable and some vinyl records and some books and a few games. There are no media players or dvd's. The back yard is lovely but don't plan on grilling. The gas grill pictured is rusty as is a small charcoal grill. Plenty of wood for enjoying a fire but no tools for tending it. Nice bedroom and bathroom and there is a huge washer and dryer. Prepare to wash the towels when you leave...(it's part of the instructions). We had to purchase batteries for the living room remote and the back of that remote is cracked (as is the surface of the stove). Be careful of the coffee table! The leg came off when we were trying to move it closer to the couch. All the window coverings are pleated paper with clips. Never have seen that before! Bath items such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash & cotton swabs provided. The biggest issue is a photo that suggests being able to "walk to the lake" and the photo shows steps & a railing to a grassy area with a bench. If that's true the owner needs to provide instructions. Even the property manager had no idea where that is and said it's a 1/2 mile walk to the lake. Very desceptive and disappointing! All in all I would give this property a 5 out of 10. I suggest the owner remove inaccurate photos. Prepare to drive a ways to anywhere."

"The home was very nice, especially loved the front porch! Lots of attention to detail and making you feel pampered and relaxed. Nice backyard with bonfire pit. My husband did comment on the weeds and bushes being very overgrown. Overall very nice and peaceful place to stay."
Secluded Woods Edge Cottage in Dowagiac MI.

"Overall property was great for our family’s stay-peaceful, beautiful trails, and secluded. Storms had come through before our stay taking out the hot tub use and required window air conditioners to keep the cottage cool. Lincoln and Shelly was very open with communication and respectful of giving us our privacy with the property being located in the back of theirs."

"The inside of the house was adorable. Very close to downtown, could easily walk there. The only negative was that you had to go outside to get to the fenced in backyard, there's no direct access from inside house."

"BOOK THIS HOUSE. I cannot say enough about the home and especially the hosts. We spent our wedding night here and the home was decorated with wedding items. The weekend far exceeded our expectations."

"Clean house, well equiped, very quiet location, easy access to fishing, caught mostly bluegills and a bass. Comfortable stay for 4 people. We did not have a pet but dogs are welcome. "

"The facility is roomy and comfortable. It wasn't stocked as well as other places I've been (for example we had to purchase our own coffee, creamer etc.) Not asthetically decorated, (a little but incomplete) dishes are just random mismatched, not well organized. toilet paper not well stocked. It did serve our needs and we had a wonderful time."
