"This was my third stay however this was the first time I did not stay at the main house. I did not like the digital key, it was a hassle. I did not like having to climb into a jacuzzi tub to take a shower, especially with no hand rails to ensure safety climbing in. The ceiling of my room looked like it may come down at any minute. I realize the history/age and that is what I enjoy about the place but again, I've only ever stayed at the main house. I only stayed for one night so it was okay but next time I will be sure to book a room in the main house."

"THE perfect place to stay in Apalachicola. No question. Pool looks good but the water too cold for is. The Spa though was on great temperature. Parking: plenty space. "

"Loved location. Lots of space in 3 room suite. Ease of check in. Lighting was bright at night coming through glass panes from hallway ceiling lights. Lighting in living area could be improved. Light on wall was extremely bright when sitting on couch. Shower stall was filled with soot on walls and floor. Could improve cleanliness of large rug in bathroom. Comfortable bed and AC units. Quiet surroundings. We appreciate the opportunity to stay only one night. Thanks for everything. Hope these suggestions help. "

"The guy at the front desk was very friendly. This was a safe, quiet area. No frills hotel but the bed was comfy and it was clean. Would stay again if in the area."

"Location was ok but neighborhood not that great. It had two bedrooms as advertised but one had no dresser or place to put things other than hanging closet. Used an ironing board as dresser. Cleanliness was a problem. The floor was dirty. The carpet was dirty with big stains. The outside back porch had a nice small sofa but cushions were literally filthy. I sat on with a beach towel on the sofa. Washed the beach towel immediately. I had to wipe off small tables before use. Not pollen - black filth. Rails on back porch covered in black dust. Had not been cleaned in months. Front door leading to front porch was broken - screen was detached. Handle did not function. A plastic cord was attached to door handle to use to pull the door close. My husband cut his hand trying to close the door. Would not close completely and had a piece of wood missing from bottom. Neither porch protected from gnats or no see ums because of gaps in screen doors. A flea jumped on me while I was trying to sit on porch. Fenced in yard nice though. And walk ability to town was good. Outside of house not great but was just run down. Kitchen pretty good. TV pretty good but not comfortable in room to sit. We actually left two days early because of cleanliness and inability to sit outside. It’s not cheap. And I would never go back. "
