Beautiful location and view, hard to find, beware they charge per person - so the low daily rate is only for one person even if you've rented a three person room. The staff was wonderful, the breakfast was very good and the location is spectacular.

Basic but comfortable enough

Comfortable beds in a fairly basic cabin. Cooking facilities were very limited and there was no hot water. Access is via a very steep track and if you have driven (which is a challenge in itself) you will have to park at the bottom and wait for Pedro to come and collect you and your luggage.

Casa Horizontes Corcovado provided an absolutely amazing space to stay during my time in Drake Bay. The property is very close to the water, and offers great views, a relaxing atmosphere, and opportunities to see lots of animals, both outside your window and on the nearby hiking trails.

Service was good. Rinaldo ensured we got snorkeling lined up immediately, and on our departure day Pedro dropped us off at the beach for the public boat and made sure we got on. Wished we had known that they prefer cash with pay pal as a distant second. Didn't receive an email from them about this until the day before which is not enough notification and on Expedia it says that I'm charged for the first night automatically which is confusing. Lots of insects because the room isn't completely sealed, netting had multiple holes. Lukewarm water. Otherwise, beautiful view and included breakfast with coffee was filling.

Property is perched on a hill with a deck overlooking Drake Bay -- very beautiful for relaxation. Host was very accommodating. Host makes very fine dinners that are well worth the price.

Wir hätten unseren Urlaub nicht besser starten können! Es war einfach perfekt. Von der Terrasse der Unterkunft hat man einen traumhaften Blick auf die Bucht. Pedro und Yami waren ganz wunderbare, liebe Gastgeber, die uns bestens versorgt haben - von der Abholung am Bootsanleger über die kalte Limo am Nachmittag bis zum sehr leckeren Abendessen bei Kerzenschein. Wir haben uns so wohlgefühlt und wollten gar nicht mehr weg.

A beautiful jungle paradise! Loved our stay!!

Our stay at Casa Horizontes was incredible. Pedro and Yami run the beautiful BNB and make sure your every need is taken care of. On arrival, Pedro picked us up from the beach and drove us the short but steep ride to the BNB. Yami welcomed us in with fresh fruit, cinnamon buns and lemonade, taking time to tell us about Drake Bay and review all our activities and tours (which Yami had helped us organize in advance!) The main dining area looks over a gorgeous garden ( where hummingbirds and macaws can be seen daily!) and over the ocean. We had a wonderful breakfast there every morning. Our cabin was something out of a jungle paradise - clean, amazing view of the canopy and complete with a cozy hammock on our private balcony. We loved every minute of our stay! Highly recommend that anyone staying in Drake Bay go to Casa Horizontes :)

Pousada muito gostosa. Rústica, limpa e autêntica, com um atendimento excelente. Boa comida e ainda a vista de alguns macaquinhos no meio da tarde. E o wifi funciona bem.

Nice, clean & bird watcher's paradise

Yumi & Pedro were excellent hosts. Rooms though small were clean and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner (vegetarian on request) were delicious. Patio was a heaven for watching all sorts of tropical birds.

Lovely and cozy hotel by the beach

This hotel is perfectly located in the village and 5 min walk from the beach! if you look for a lovely and cozy place, this is the one! small enough to make you feel home. Everything is spotless and the view from veranda a real treat!! We had all dinners at the hotel and they were basic but lovely homemade and delicious!

Hôtel accueillant

Une personne vient vous chercher à l'arrivée sur la plage et transporte vos bagages jusqu'à l’hôtel, heureusement car ça monte beaucoup. La contre partie c'est la terrasse sur laquelle se prend le petit déjeuner (et le repas au besoin): une vue magnifique sur la baie et les aras qui passent pour distraire de temps à autre le regard. Un petit paradis!

Somewhat difficult to get to, but well worth it

Unless you are arriving by 4-wheel drive vehicle this guest house may not be for everyone, as it requires a 10 minute walk up a steep hill from the beach. However, once there the facilities are ideal: clean, comfortable rooms, wonderful staff and incredible vistas. From the beautiful balcony you enjoy views of the bay as well as abundant jungle wildlife including monkeys, butterflies and various species of birds. The included breakfast is abundant and tasty and dinners (which must be arranged in advance) are well worth the additional cost.

Casa Corcovado Horizontes

A terrific view of Drake's Bay, delicious breakfast included, clean, safe, comfortable room, hotel staff excellent. It rained a bit when we were there, so the owners provided umbrellas and boots if we needed them. Centrally located to get to excursions (snorkeling, Corcovado Park, etc.) No AC, but it really wasn't necessary. A very lush, tropical environment, plenty of birds & butterflies to see, howler monkeys could be heard. Restaurants and shops a short walk away. Airport about 15 minutes away, $20 for two people. A ride was arranged for us when we arrived, and the hotel owner took us to the airport when we left. A rental car really isn't necessary.

Gorgeous, simple and comfortable tree-top getaway

Casa Horizontes is a lovely little Bed & Breakfast that is owned and run by a sweet couple named Yami and Pedro. It is up a short steep hill from the boat taxi landing; if you have trouble walking the hill you can get a ride. Drake Bay is very small so everything is within easy walking distance. This is not a luxury hotel but everything is clean and well-maintained, and all of the beautiful wood furniture was made by Pedro. There are only a handful of rooms, and meals are served on a gorgeous balcony overlooking the ocean. They are very accommodating about serving breakfast when you need it, depending on your schedule. You can also opt to eat dinner there for an extra fee. The balcony is a great space to hang out, read, and swap stories with other guests. You are at treetop height there so you will see lots of birds and possibly a group of white-faced capuchins who sometimes come to feast on mangos and other fruit growing there. Yami can help you book tours if you haven't already done so, and payment for these can be added to your hotel bill. As is the case with pretty much all hotels in Drake Bay, you need to be prepared to pay for your lodging in cash. Highly recommend staying at this friendly treetop getaway.
