Upon check-in, I was surprised to find additional charges, including nightly parking fees despite ample parking space available onsite, as well as a R250 per person damages deposit, which I declined to pay, leading them to take my driver's license as collateral. "We absolutely loved Clouds Estate and would absolutely return should we go back to Stellenbosch. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a lovely birthday surprise for my husband, they left cake, wine, treats. It was lovely. We loved our room., especially the underfloor heating in the bathroom. There was a sitting area and a balcony overlooking the pool area. I love a Nespresso machine in a room and they had lots of pods to choose from. Breakfast was wonderful. There was a continental selection along with a menu to choose a cooked option. Also, they had their sparkling wine at breakfast, such a treat (well, you're on holiday, so why not!!) The views are truly spectacular. Book Clouds Estate, you won't be disappointed"

"This hotel sits right on the edge of the water just a 20 minute Uber ride away from the Victoria and Alfred Wharf. The breakfast is delicious, so it was definitely worth the price. The dinning options at the hotel are endless too with 24/7 room service, a bar, and delicious eats all around. Security is 10/10 and Yvonne at the reception desk was very helpful when it came to helping me extend my stay when my flight was delayed. I would book this hotel again."
