"Great place to stay, very dog friendly we loved the hot tub and the fenced in dog yard. The appliances are all new and worked great. My family stayed there over Christmas and had a great time. It was close to restaurants in Forest city and Morganton I would recommend and stay there again."

"It was great. Perfect location right behind the Lake James Marina. Had a great view. The deck was very large which is perfect because you spend the most of your time on the deck. Large TVs everywhere although you should be out on the Lake or hiking. Lol"

"Delightful quiet time with plenty of options for surround activities in town and hiking. Smaller rental but the owners make great use of the layout. The view from the hot tub at night is breath taking. Hot tub, 30 degree night, and beautiful stars to look at. Cant say enough about this view."

"We loved sitting on the deck over looking the pond. Although small, it was similar in size to a hotel suite with a better price and location. "

"This is a wonderful house. It is better far the best appointed kitchen I have ever encountered in a rental. The views out the rear of the house towards the lake are lovely and serene. The bonus is how incredibly close the pool and beach activities are. This is a winner!"

"My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The view from the deck is beautiful and there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We took full advantage of the outdoor amenities--lounging in the hammock on the deck, eating meals at the outdoor tables, and making s'mores around the fire (the solo stove is nice perk). The Shortoff Mountain trail is only a 10 minute walk from the house and provides spectacular views of Lake James and the Linville Gorge. The...
