"The good - a wonderful property in a wonderful location with great views and most amenities you could need - as long as you don't believe the listing. Egyptian cotton; dont think so. Recliner? Long gone. Welcome basket? Dont hold your breath. Plenty of supplies befitting a luxury place? Not if you count 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper, a half roll of paper towels, no replacement garbage bags and no laundry detergent for a week's stay as ample. Apparently the owner has sold and fled to Spain and the...

"We had a lovely week. The waterfall behind the house was a short and pleasant walk away. The beach was a 2 minute walk and very quiet. It was lovely. This is a great house for a family getaway. "

"Great location to tour Sutherland, we went as far south as Ullapool and North to Bettyhill. Visited too many places to mention but my favourite was Balnakeil Bay, huge beach great for your dogs and easy to access. Lots of amazing scenery, the picnic area by Kinlochbervie beach had two resident stags in the green fenced field. Mairi and Willie great friendly hosts, be sure to order your Lobster, Prawns and Crabs, they were amazing and such good value. Will definitely return."

"Very comfy and cosy house, it’s in a small village which isn’t clear but has a lovely back and front garden. Just a quick walk to the amazing beach The road I thought might be busy with 500 ers but they had to drive slowly so wasn’t noisy. Bring a sharp knife!"

"An excellent little lodge for 2 down a short walk from the local village. The place was superbly equipped with everything needed for our stay. Only slight problem - the sofas and chairs were a little too low to the ground! Otherwise it was lovely and we really enjoyed our stay."

"Nice house looking out onto beautiful little beach. A lot of sheep which meant little lambs everywhere this time of year. Friendly neighbours! Tip: go to Handa (approx. 45 min. drive) for a very special hike on this remote bird island."

"Lovely place with fantastic views and a sunset to die for. 2 mins walk to beach, very peaceful. The whole place was very high end and well cared for. Sean greeted us at the property, handed us slippers and showed us round. Even brought us 2 chairs for the patio when we asked. We felt we were in a 5* hotel and a little bit nervous of living up to the exacting standards...every surface was covered, even the sofa. Notices everywhere! Despite that we loved every minute. Only things missing..a dish...

"As advertised, this is a remote cottage, suitable for a family with two children plus a dog. Comes with a sheep. About half an hour of single track road to get here. There's one shop and a tea room nearby. Great walks and scenery. Cottage is basic and just what you would expect in such a location. It's not the Ritz, nor should it be. Lovely get away. "
