"This was our THIRD time staying in this house and hopefully there will be many more visits. Bernadette is the BEST host. We have had a couple of requests/accommodations over our stays and she totally made it happen when she didn't NEED to...she's just awesome like that! The cleanliness of the house was great. Location is perfect. Everything in the house worked just fine (tv, appliances, hot water, etc.) My family can't wait to put this house on our calendar for the 2024 season!"

"They so s a nice house with a smart layout. Very clean considering it is pet friendly. Sure some things could use a little updating but overall is in great shape and an awesome location just off the beach. Beach chairs and toys included made packing easier, the kitchen had tons of pots and dishes, way more than we have at home. Highly recommend if you're ok with a comfy home rather a modern brand new option."

"The house was great. Pictures were accurate in the listing. It definitely could have been cleaner. The carpets weren’t vacuumed and it was obvious. One of the bedrooms the sheets had not been changed. This was noticed in the morning after sleeping in the bed. Also when we reserved the house it did state that there was an elevator. "Our family had a great time during our fall getaway. We loved the heated pool and hot tub on cool nights, star gazing from the rooftop deck, and taking the golf cart to the beach. The home is immaculate. The layout and all the deck space were great for spreading out. We had amazing experiences at both Jockey's Ridge and the lighthouse in Corolla and enjoyed eating and shopping at the Duck boardwalk."

"My family and I had a great time staying here. We have 4 kids under 6 and my in laws went with us. It was plenty of room for everyone and everything we needed. The pool was awesome. Also, the beach closet was well stocked when we were there. We probably didn’t need to bring anything for the pool or beach since everything you needed was in there. Will visit again ❤️"

"This was a wonderful place to stay! The location was perfect. You can walk to beach, the sound and the pool. It was great to have an indoor pool on the days the weather wasn't so great. There was plenty of room for all of us. We had 5 adults and 4 kids ranging from ages 6-13. The kitchen was stocked with everything you'd need. They had beach chairs, umbrella, etc, that you could use. A short drive to Corolla and very close to their town in Duck."

"This is a very nice property and is in close proximity to Duck - nice walking distance. It is right on the main street so there is some road noise but not too bad, though. The walk to the beach and pool amenities are about a block away. We would definitely stay again."

"Pros: Good location 5 minute walk to beach and 10 to the main part of the town of Duck. House had a good layout of rooms, large main areas. Decks are in very good condition (good for avoiding splinters). Cons: Most of the house is in quite poor condition, not well maintained. Examples - wood strip behind kitchen counters peeling off; blinds on windows were cheap junk and probably half did not have the ability to open/close, at least one was held up by duct tape; old linoleum floors in...

"We normally stay at a higher end place for a week but this year we downgraded the house for the luxury of staying two weeks. The place has some warts but the location was good and we’re grateful for an option that enabled us to stay in our favorite vacation spot for twice as long."

"I would definitely recommend Sandy Feet Retreat. It was so nice, after a long drive, to be greeted with a welcome basket full of goodies! The starter bag of paper towels and toilet paper was an added bonus. The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable for the 4 of us. Chris was very responsive with any questions we had. "We love this cozy condo property and come here every spring to enjoy the quiet offseason beach experience. Condo is great and perfect for a couple. The owners are super responsive and accomodating. The view is amazing! Highly recommend!"
