"My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The cabin was was clean, neat and well appointed. Communication with the host was easy. We hiked, biked and kayaked. The campfires were nice as was Dave’s Falls a short distance away. I recommend the cabin for any couple with or without small children looking for seclusion."

"The retreat was exactly as pictured and as described. It was incredibly cleaned and stocked with any and everything that we needed, that we may have forgotten, including a first aid kit. The extra surprise was the plunger in the bathroom, which gave us a great laugh. Loved it and would definitely come back. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was relaxing and peaceful and that’s exactly what we needed."

"The Archer Log Cabin was sweet and comfortable with a full kitchen, bath and laundry. It even had a little desk in the laundry room. The bed was comfortable . We only used one of the two bedrooms. The surrounding woods were peaceful. We enjoyed hiking on trails in the state park and hope to get back sometime in the winter to cross country ski. We appreciated the coffee . We will be back. It was a quiet place to rest and refresh."

"We had the best time in Fence - it reminded us of home with the quietness and friendly people. The property was clean and perfect size for our family of 4. We were lucky to have great weather and so much to do in the surrounding areas. We appreciated the games and snacks. It was nice to catch up with the owners who live next door and get their advice on roads to take etc. We had the best experience at The Fence Post too! Thanks for everything!"

"The property is on Wheeler Lake, which is a great lake for fishing and watersports. There's a sandy public beach nearby that you can visit for $5 per person, and the boat launch is fairly close. Lakewood is five minutes away. The cottage is older, but has been nicely remodeled with two newer bathrooms, a modern kitchen and numerous other updates. "The last time we stayed here with some friends in the winter and enjoyed this wonderful home so we decided to come back in the summer. We used this as our respite from riding the ATV trails. "Blown away at this home. To us it was home away from home! Welcoming, comfy, warm, charming, clean. Perfect perfect!! All 7 of us loved everything. The view was the best ever. Perfectly stocked with all our needs. Back deck was perfect hangout. We will be back if the Cullen's will have us."
