"The cottage is in such a good location in Helmsley. We were there for a big family get together and having the dining room with the large table was ideal to host family members staying elsewhere. Lovely spacious and clean rooms with excellent views of the church. Amanda was very helpful."

"Yes welcoming for dogs. Had a poolside suite. Only things i would say are the pillows are very hard and the bed linen could be softer. I say this because is expensive to stay. Also had to pay for a cappuccino at breakfast and i think when you pay this money you shouldnt need too"

"Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Room was lovely, warm, wifi, tv, kettle, toiletries in the bathroom, cold water in the fridge.... everything we needed. The towels in the bathroom were great and the thickest I've ever used ! Great location for helmsley market town. Would definitely stay here again if in the area."

"We have stayed at many of these places over the years, and this one was a disappointment indeed. Location was great. Had some charm within the place, but it was very run down. Couch and pillows were very uncomfortable. Beds were also very uncomfortable. The cleaners also did not clean it up very well. We were also traveling all day and got there an hour early, and they told us we couldn’t go in. No one was there. It was so very rude and unaccompanied. We left a day early. Going to let my wife give her detailed review later. "

"Fantastic cottage in a great place. Slight snags were - only 1 shower, no fire lighters, no footstools. The latter 2 are nit picking though, overall we loved the place!"

"We had a lovely stay here, cottage in good location. Had to do a bit of juggling with car parking at times due to popularity in the day. When we arrived it was very cold in the cottage took a long time to warm up, although some logs were provided for the log burner which supplemented the central heating we needed to purchase some extra. The dish washer tablets provided didn’t seem to clean crockery very well leaving some stains. However we had a lovely stay here enjoyed buy us all. 😊"
