A personal note from the homeowner captures the heart of this special place:
“We love Henry's Hideout for the same reason our father, Henry, purchased it over forty years ago—amazing views and serenity. Over the years, these things just keep improving, along with proximity to wine country, the coast, and college life. Nature is at its best here with expansive views of the valley, vineyards, and the occasional visit from a deer or peacock. Henry's Hideout is also a big house! It's perfect for bringing our families together for a weekend or holiday. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.”

We stayed here with my parents (4 adults, 2 teenagers) to visit my son at George Fox. The house was very spacious, looks exactly like the pictures on the listing, and the view is amazing! It was very easy to get to and from the university and if we had more time we definitely would have checked out some of the wineries that are very close by. We would definitely stay here again!
Our family of seven had a fantastic week. The property is centrally located in the Willamette Valley wine region. Great views from the property decks.

Everything about this property was perfect. The beds are luxurious, the game room was super fun with its own kitchen, the scenery is beautiful and it’s so quiet. It was absolutely perfect in every way. I don’t have 1 negative thing to say.
This property was well appointed with everything we needed with plenty of comfortable spaces to enjoy and 4 King bedrooms was a plus. The location was excellent for wine country visits in all directions and we had long range views across the Willamette Valley. Most mornings we watched the hot air balloons across the sky moving over the valley and on clear days we had views of Mt Jefferson over the Cascades to the East.
We had such a lovely stay, would definitely come back on our next Willamette trip. Idyllic surroundings and close to a million wonderful wineries. Great for my group of girlfriends but would also be good for a few couples or families.
Henry's Hideout is a great house with lots of space to spend with friends. It has a wonderful deck off the back with a beautiful view of the vineyards. Four bedrooms each with a king bed, made it easy for couples. The house was well stocked with most everything one would need. The house was very clean as well. The bathrooms could use an update but they were certainly fine for the four days we were there. Willamette Valley is really a gem!
I was looking for a house with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Having all king size beds was an extra bonus. The house was clean and had a great view, we spent our mornings and evenings on the porch. It was nice and quite.
This place was great for a little relaxing getaway. Very close to lots of wineries. House was clean, and definitely big enough for us. Lovely to have each room have their own king bed! And three bathrooms are great!! The view in the morning is spectacular! Very quiet neighborhood, and we could see MT. Hood in the morning! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
Very nice location just outside Portland, about 45 minutes from the airport. Pretty easy driving. Very close to wineries but make appointments ahead of time. Very nice deck, although the weather didn't allow us to use much. Well equipped kitchen and good weber outdoor grill. Overall a good experience!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Henry's Hideout. This spacious home was clean and well maintained. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, and the BBQ is in great condition. Plenty of outdoor deck space to enjoy the good weather and views. A portion of it is covered so no need to rush inside if it happens to sprinkle. The king beds were very comfortable, we slept well! We look forward to returning to this property with family and friends.
The property is lovely and what a view. Nicely located near the wineries we had planned to visit. Our stay was really nice. The beds and bedding were really good quality. Check in was easy, communication with the managers was very good. Just a couple of things. First and foremost, the tidiness of the outside space was disappointing. We arrived just before dark and sat outside. The next morning we went out to watch the sunrise and we noticed HUGE UGLY spiders hanging over the top of where we sat. It was surely not something that made me want to sit outdoors. My husband cleaned up and killed them. There were at least 10 very large ones under the eaves close to seating. It surely creeped a couple of us out and spoiled the experience we might have had enjoying the outdoor space. The listing said they had 2 coffee makers. One of our group is decaffeinated and we were missing the additional coffee pot, but they brought us one promptly the next day. The toilets. I hate to be negative, but OMG! I am almost 5’8” and my feet did not touch the floor. It was sort of odd, but we all had a good laugh. If you are short, bring a stool for the stool. The only other issue is that the non stick cookware could surely be replaced.
The home was exactly as advertised. It was clean, well equipped and comfortable. The host was easy to communicate with. This was the perfect home for our family vacation.
This is a beautiful, spacious house with views across the vineyards and down the Willamette Valley. My family came from out of town to participate in the Fueled By Fine Wine Half Marathon, and this property was the perfect location not only for being close to the run, but also as a perfect spot to enjoy the Dundee Hills AVA region.
When we arrived, there was a nice bottle of pinot waiting for us, as well as some excellent, locally roasted coffee for the morning. Such a memorable relaxing time, hanging out with the family on the huge upper deck, drinking wine and enjoying the view!
The house was fully stocked with all the appliances/plates/glassware we needed to prepare and serve meals. The dining room table easily sat all 8 of us with room to spare. The bedrooms are large with incredible amounts of closet space. The entire house was spotless and well maintained.
The things I'll remember most about this stay is the solitude the house offered in the midst of a very active wine growing region. Sitting in the sun on the deck, you might hear the low growl of a distant tractor working in the vineyards, but for the most part, the wind in the trees was the only sound. That said, you are literally walking distance to a vineyard and tasting room, and all of the several dozen Dundee wineries and tasting rooms are a few minute's drive down the hill. In other words, it's the perfect spot!
Good house, very spacious, clean and comfortable. Quiet location up in the hills and surrounded by vineyards. Amazing views. We had a great time, would definitely come back
The house has plenty of room for just the 2 couples that stayed. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Great views from the location. The place has great A/C which we needed when we were there. The deck is massive but a bit old and made a ton of noise when walking on it - I wouldn’t go out barefoot!
This property had wonderful amenities including comfortable beds with luxurious bedding. It was clean and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy the view. I’d love to stay here again. Visit eleven, the vineyard that is at the bottom of the driveway- delicious wine and convenient location.
