"Keswick Cottages has a range of high class properties in its portfolio. Being a smaller, local company they are able to provide excellent, personal service and support and have a detailed knowledge of the area. You cannot get this from larger agencies. Our stay at Lake View Cottage was very good. It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped and in an ideal yet quiet location for accessing all of the north Lake District and coast."

"We had a wonderful stay in this cosy, quiet cottage with plenty of space and everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked but, you will need to bring any essentials salt and pepper, oil, etc. very nice pet welcome pack and packs of welcome with tea and cleaning items. There is a village shop nearby and several pub restaurants. There are a number of great walks on your doorstep from easy to more challenging without needing drive.. A beautiful area to explore so...

"This was our third visit to Spa Cottages. It is a great base for exploring the Lake District. Parking can be a bit tight, but for the majority of the time we were able to park directly outside the property."

Carlisle Station Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by BW
10/10 Excellent
"The room was very clean, and the lighting was fantastic, with a decent centre light that could be turned on and off from the bed. Decent bedside lamps, which worked well; none of the single candle power when the hotel was run by Hallmark.
Having had nightmares with those stupid plastic key cards in the past, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the wooden version worked to perfection every time we used it. Would other hotels please take note!
One thing I would comment on is that one has to ask for our room to be cleaned. I don't have a problem with that. But it would be useful if there was somewhere where we could put our plastic bags of rubbish each morning.
I particularly liked the idea of being given tickets to show we had paid for our breakfast. At £10 each were excellent value for money. The yoghurt is to die for, as are the croissants. I have eaten many croissants over the years, and believe me, these are the best.
It was also good to see a nice selection of fruit already prepared. We didn't try the tea, coffee, or hot chocolate; we prefer fruit juice, which is excellent, with just the correct amount of sweetness. I did have a bit of an argument with the orange dispenser; we obviously did not speak the same language!
It was great that there was a choice of fried or scrambled eggs. Hubby did enjoy the sausage and bacon, but he was a bit put out that there were no mushrooms! There were also tomatoes, hash browns and baked beans on the menu."
"Excellent place to stay to visit The Lakes and surrounding areas with stunning views.
We stayed for 5 nights and were made to feel so welcome . Absolutely spotless. Nothing too much trouble.
Room lovely, hot shower, breakfasts excellent. Great choice and they are happy to sort whatever you would like.
Coffee and homemade cake available in the lounge later. All in all, we have not stayed in a better B&B .
Now we have found it will most definitely be back. Highly recommend."
"This is a great hotel for a visit to Keswick, perfectly situated with everything in easy walking distance.
Its set in lovely grounds and the staff were all very helpful and friendly
It has a very nice bar well staffed
We would definitely return here"
"It's an old hotel, but its clean, tidy and the staff are great. Rooms vary, some are bigger than others. Location couldn't be any better for the centre of Carlisle.
On this occasion we were on the fourth floor which does require some stair climbing (there is one lift, it holds four people and is usually occupied by confused old people), rooms are a little smaller on that floor, although the bathroom was huge. Water pressure wasn't fantastic but was okay for a couple of night stay. Last time I stayed on the third floor and the room was a little bigger and althought the bathroom was smaller, no issues with water pressure.
Bar is great, not expensive and the bar food is good quality fresh food (didn't try the restaurant).
Parking is free, but is limited - you're probably okay arriving before 5PM weekdays, but weekends is busier - there is an underground pay car park literally 300 yards away, so no big deal if you can't get in."
"A very central facility. We booked a 1 Bedroom Townhouse which was faultless. Staff and services all top notch with a great breakfast.
Would recommend and will definitely book again."
