Small family owned property. Very friendly from the first day to the last. Amazing staff. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Food is amazing. Did not need to go looking for food anywhere else. Beach is a little bit of a walk but worth it. Almost like a private beach.

We had a wonderful stay at Tingum Village. The staff was kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The tropical gardens made the property feel peaceful and relaxing, and the location was perfect—just a short walk to both Pink Sand Beach and the harbor. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. If you’re looking for an authentic and charming place to stay in Harbour Island, I highly recommend Tingum Village. The experience was okay overall. There were some things I liked, such as the family friendly staff and decent quality, but there were also a few issues that kept it from being great. Staff was very friendly. Beautiful property with a nice setting. Food was excellent at dinner. Sheets were dirty and didn’t look to be changed. People were sleeping under the room with lattice work covering their area which wasn’t the safest feeling. Shower had zero water pressure and had to take a sponge bath.

Such a wonderful staff who are welcoming, efficient, and so very helpful! The website is a bit misleading: it is NOT a 2 minute walk to the beach....more like a 5-10 minute golf cart ride, coffee and breakfast are not available until 8am. The rooms are very dark, with little light, definitely need a refurbishing, and we could hear the couple in the next room talking. The bed IS comfortable, and the price is right if you don't mind the other issues.

Tingum has the Bahamian charm we were looking for. The Staff is overly accommodating, allowing you to relax fully. We really enjoyed the ease of the continental breakfast. Which consisted of fruit, choice of bagel, coffee & juice. Other options are available for purchase. We had the grilled lobster twice which was one of our favorite meals. Baby Ruby will take care of you like family. Great value for the rate. We will be back.

Tingum Village is my home away from home! So calming listening to the birds and roosters, relaxing in my beautiful room, and befriending the owner, Juanita, and her dedicated staff, Crystal, Lucy, and Mikey while enjoying meals and drinks in the friendly restaurant and bar areas. This is the only truly Bahamian hotel experience on Harbour Island and has been owned by the same family for decades! I’m not interested in corporate operated resorts, but prefer the warm welcome I receive every time I walk in the door during my stay! Lots of laughs and good conversation with everyone at Tingum! Miss you until next year!!
