Elana was a great host. She had breakfast ready for us each morning and was very accommodating. The property was very beautiful and overlooked the Mediterranean and many of the rooftops in Salerno. The train station is about a 20 minute walk. It is easy to get to, but the cobblestones can be a little bit bumpy. The rooms were very well-kept and clean and we’re nice. The other guests were very quiet and we’re also very nice when we met them on the veranda.

Location Location is everything. This spot was central to all. Train station, fashion district, resturant row, a promenade, marina and somewhere there was a beach .... This hotel is a little gem: clean, well maintained, and with good amenities overall. However, the breakfast arrangement needs urgent improvement. Breakfast is provided through vouchers at a nearby bakery, where I found the staff rude and unhelpful. On my only visit, I showed my voucher, was told to wait, and was then ignored for at least 20 minutes. Carmen the host was the most wonderful welcoming woman. She made our first stop in Italy such an enjoyable experience. The accommodations were very pleasant and as advertised. The beds were comfortable and additional bedding was provided for the chilly evenings. The breakfast was delicious and Carmen makes a fantastic cappuccino and we got the honor of tasting her delicious lemon cake. It can get noisy on the street up until midnight but that is going to be true no matter where you stay so...

The cleanliness was amazing, the apartment has everything you need for a nice and comfortable stay, the place is centrally located, very close to the port and the train station. Very nice area to walk with many different restaurants and shops!

I honestly can't get over of how amazing our stay is at Il Melograno. The room we stayed in has a great view of the coast. The room is extremely cozy. What a way to have a drink in your hand, sitting in your own balcony and admiring the great view in front of you. Or hold on to your drink while enjoying the hot tub/jacuzzi which is also on the balcony. And then, there's our hosts ... Carmela, Teresa and Salvatore. We loved our stay. Roberto and Francesco were super welcoming and very hospitable! Our room was lovely. One thing to be aware of is that the property does require going up a significant hill with your luggage, as the taxis can’t get all the way up. That was not a problem for us, we loved our stay and highly recommend !!!!

Clean room

Staff was so friendly and helpful, especially Vittoria. She was the highlight of our stay.

Great location for seeing the historic part of town and walking along the water. Luca was so nice and gave us all the useful information. The "Beach Bar" in the common area was a lovely spot to have a free cappuccino and one ( or three) of the delicious homemade cookies.
