Welcome to Mountain View Retreat, your home away from home. This commodious house comes complete with all the essentials needed, a cozy fire place, and an amazing view of the La Plata mountains. This space accommodates with two full baths, and three bedrooms, a large living room and extensive kitchen. An inviting fire pit waits with seating that is situated perfectly for watching sunsets and gathering in the outdoors. This was a perfect place for us to stay while we were in Durango. It is spacious, well stocked and has a beautiful deck. We enjoyed it so much. We came early home early one night to cookout dinner and enjoy the.great room. We loved all the wildlife in the area.

The property was even nicer than the pictures! We had such a wonderful time in Durango, and we were so comfortable coming home every night. The host was extremely responsive and a pleasure to rent from- we would definitely stay here again.

Excellent trip

A very nice place with more than your average amenities. Clean, well equipped and located about 10 minutes from downtown. Great views and overall super comfortable place to stay. I've stayed at many VRBO's and I have to say the beds were perhaps the best of any place I've been, especially after a hard day skiing. Thank you and hope to be back next year!

Great House Near Durango

Our stay was great! Came into town for a wedding just outside of Durango. The house was perfect. The location and views are stunning, the layout of the house was great for our large family to stay together. Cleanliness and amenities were great. I would highly recommend this place and would happily stay here again.

Check in easy, property super clean equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay with excellent views and location! 22 minutes from downtown. Will definitely recommend! We enjoyed sipping coffee while looking at the deer’s from the deck!

My absolutely favorite VRBO stay EVER! Home is stunning. Wildlife in the back yard each morning. Kitchen was fully equipped. Beds were extremely comfortable. The views from the back deck were breathtaking.

Cozy and quiet

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views, the house was beautiful and clean. Only thing we were a little sad about and looking forward to, the hot tub was not in working condition, and propane tanks were empty. Other than that it was a great stay and very cozy.

The property was amazing, Had amazing views, was close to everything. Lauren was a great host and communicated with me quickly when I had any questions. Perfect Retreat

The cabin was so charming! Every detail was thought out. The view is amazing, and the local deer put on quite a show! We enjoyed coffee on the patio each morning watching the local wildlife. My kids fell in love with the neighbor cat, too. We had a wonderful time in the area!

Beautiful location

The house is very clean and spacious, perfect for our family of 5. Many deer, hawks and rabbits to view from the large porch area. The kitchen was well equipped, all appliances are very nice. The AC works well, which was good for us since Durango was having record high temperatures.

Luxurious, clean, and gorgeous views!

We all loved this house. It was so clean, updated and the views were amazing. The weather/temps were perfect too! We all felt like the house made us feel like we were at a fancy spa vacation with how updated and modern it was and the location. The bathrooms were great and my idea of a dream bathroom. It was spotless and made us feel like we got to stay in a luxurious resort on our short vacation! The owner was very responsive, friendly and helpful as well 😊 No complaints here!

A beautiful getaway

My family and I came out for the polar express. We ended up having to book this place last minute due to our other home ended up getting canceled less than a week before our trip, and honestly we we’re surprised the home was available as it is beautiful, clean, and was about 20 minutes away from town which was nice to relax.The grill was out of propane but a simple call and the owner brought it within the hour. We would book again!Bonus they have a friendly kitty who greets upon arrival

Perfect family vacation home!

This mountain home was spectacular! It was very clean, with great ammenities and very comfortable beds. The view off the back deck was to die for! We loved being outside of town and having so much privacy. The deer that wandered into the yard each day made our morning coffee extra enjoyable. We were only 10 minutes to historic downtown Durango. We were able to visit so many places and then retreat to this wonderful home each evening. We can't wait for our next trip! We will for sure be looking this property up as our first choice!

Great stay, great property.

Property was beautiful, well appointed and clean. Finishes were excellent. Even the bathrooms were immaculate. Most properties, the shower tile is grungy and mildewed. Not this one! The only comment I have is we were not aware that someone else lived downstairs. That’s not a problem but it was a surprise. I would suggest that this is noted in the property description.

Lovely Home outside Durango

We stayed for two nights, and I wish we had stayed longer. It didn’t feel like a rental property, but it felt like someone’s home. The kitchen was well stocked, the appliances were nice, the linens were nice, the mattresses were good…The view was amazing with great common area to hang out in. I hope we can make it back someday. And…there’s a playground in the backyard! We had trouble getting the lock pad to work initially, but we eventually figured it out. The owner was quick to return our call. It is a bit outside of town. It took us about 20 minutes to drive to the grocery store.
