Our 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath tri-level townhome is located just across highway 550 from Purgatory Resort and is 24 miles north of downtown Durango (less than a 30 minute drive). Relax in the private hot tub and enjoy the mountain and slope views or sit around the firepit off the Master Deck! The townhome is perfect for multiple families as it features 2 living spaces (on different floors).

The deck off the main living space features a hot tub, seating and a BBQ Gas grill while the deck off the master bedroom on the 3rd floor features a gas fire pit with seating. The townhome features the expected amenities such as WIFI, cable TV, washer/dryer (laundry detergent provided), garage and a fully stocked kitchen.

The townhome is part of the resort so you have access to free on-demand shuttle service to the ski lifts but since it is across the road you enjoy the privacy and additional space a townhome affords (it’s part of a duplex). At 8,900 feet of elevation, the home is a gateway to an amazing winter playground and also serves as the perfect summer retreat, with a million acres of national forest land at your doorstep offering all your favorite mountain activities. It’s only a 2 minute walk to Twilight Lake for fishing and paddle boarding and as well as Purgatory Flats Trailhead, one of the most scenic hikes in the San Juan Mountains. Horseback riding, jeep trails, an alpine slide, and the Purgatory Inferno Mountain Coaster are all less than 5 minutes from the home.

The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club.

Modern and New

This place was great. Very modern and very new. So new there is construction in the neighborhood. Luckily not noisy, but busy and many trucks around. This place was just what we needed and very big. The two king beds were nice, however one is downstairs and much smaller. Still very nice and great location. Directly across 550 from the entry to Purgatory.

Summer stay in Purgatory

This is a very well managed property that was spotlessly clean and fully equipped to relax and enjoy the stay. Access was easy and seamless. The kitchen has all the cooking utensils you could need, a full compliment of beautiful dinnerware and glasses and excellent appliances. It is tastefully decorated with new furniture and home décor items. The grill and hot tub are nice amenities that we also enjoyed. Overall I rate this unit as a 10 out of 10. Also, the beds and linens were really great. I’d rent this property again without hesitation.

Great place, Amazing location

This property is brand new (places around it still being built). It was a great launching pad for a long weekend skiing at Purgatory. The Purgatory shuttle was super easy to call and we never waited more than 5 minutes for a ride. We were two couples, and the layout was great, each of us with our own "floor". The view from the deck/hot tub is awesome. Beds were super comfortable. Note that the town of Durango is 20+ minutes away, make sure you have everything you need, there are limited options up at Purgatory for groceries.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Excellent location! We loved our stay. I will say if you don't like stairs, steer clear. Master bedroom is upstairs, kitchen and living room is on middle floor, and two other rooms are on bottom 3rd floor along with laundry room. Lots of stairs!! Great space for family and kids. Everything was there to cook. Comfortable furniture. Awesome garage to park in. Hot tub on deck was a huge hit. It was really cool to watch the snow plows on the slopes at night with their bright lights. Highly recommend!!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a nice rental, very clean and maintained. Kitchen well stocked to cook meals. Bringing your own food to cook is a must, no restaurants around except The Nugget and a couple of places at Purgatory. Love the location, since we like to 4x4, hike, and fish. Only downside is noise from 550 and constant noise from construction on site during the day. Would recommend house for anyone looking for stay close to mountains. We did have an issue with a breaker tripping, called and the rental company and electrician was there within 2 hours to fix problem. Thank you for the expedited service.
