The Best Getaway on the Waterfront

Enjoy swimming, tubing, canoeing and fishing on pristine Craig Creek. Perfect setting for a romantic getaway or family vacation. Glassed-in sleeping / eating porch overlooks clear water and private forest with hiking trails and access to National Forest.
Bountiful wildlife, wildflowers and panoramic views.

Firepit is ready for smores, hotdogs, hamburgers and steaks. FIREWOOD is provided.

Master bedroom with a Queen and Twin has full bath. Sleeping porch consists of Queen, Twin and Full Sofa Bed. Open Kitchen and Living room (with Lazyboy sofa bed) with access to bathroom.
Large deck overlooking the crystal clear creek and panoramic mountain views.

Inner tubes provided for floating on the creek or lounge on the river "beaches."

Canoe and kayaks provided.

Bring your own mountain bikes, fishing poles, horses.

Fully furnished kitchen, broadband tv with dvd.

Landline telephone and Fast-speed broadband WiFi Internet provided, but no cell phone service.

'Creek shoes' are a necessity due to rocky creekbed.
Hike the nearby hiking trails-Hoop Hole and Roaring Run. Visit the beautiful wineries -Blue Ridge Vineyard and Virginia Mountain Vineyard.

Thanksgiving Stay at Cottage on Craig

We had a very comfortable stay at Cottage on Craig Creek. The cabin had all the amenities we needed plus more. Inside and outside. The all window room has a beautiful view of the creek. The area is serene.

Secluded property along Craig Creek. The mountain scenery is beautiful. The accommodations are excellent for a gathering of family or friends. Easy access to Craig Creek for anglers and paddlers.

Beautiful and Peaceful

All three of us really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The area is beautiful and very quiet. There are several hiking trails close by. We especially loved the smores that were provided :) We definitely would recommend this place to our friends!

Another satisfying trip

Mountain vacation

We had such an amazing time ,Mitch and Bobby were so accommodating and very sweet ❤️scenery was breathtaking and so relaxing !exactly what we we looking for ,we loved it so much we decided to stay an extra night to just enjoy the creek ,fishing ,kayaking,and bonfire and beautiful sky for stargazing !Definitely plan on coming back with family in the near future for at least a week this time to share this slice of heaven with our loved ones ❤️

Amazing location

This wonderfully comfortable cottage boasts an incredible location for escaping the world. We enjoyed peace and quiet on Craig Creek bird watching, fishing, kayaking, and grilling over oak logs as our host suggested. The kitchen is well equipped, the couches and beds comfortable, and the sleeping porch is a nature lover's dream come true. Highly recommended.

Peace for all

This cottage is equipped with everything you need, and its isolated setting among tall trees on Craig Creek is spectacular. Our dog loves the easy access to the creek, and we humans do, too. Great sleeping on the enclosed porch.

Serene and beautiful

Mary and I spent 3 days in this idyllic spot with our 2 dogs from June 3 to 6, 2021. Definitely off the grid, but with plenty of amenities. Lazy days on the deck reading, doing yoga, and communing with nature. Even our dogs savored the crystal clear water. Bobbie and Mitch are the A+ hosts.

Great time on Craig Creek as always

Our 5th time staying at the Cottage on Craig, was just as much fun as our first. While there is now Serenity just across the gully, there is still enough foliage to make you feel like you’re on your own. Mitch and Bobbie are always a pleasure to rent from and I recommend this cabin to friends and family all the time. Whether you like hiking canoeing and kayaking, sitting around the fire, or playing board games around a table, cottage on Craig is the place for you.
