It was really just for convenience and we weren't that bothered about exactly where we stayed. That said, what an absolute gem The Fox Hall is! "Our stay at the Golden Fleece was great! Easy check-in, lovely room. Food in the evening was great but we didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Easy walkable distance to James Herriot’s house. Parking very easy and felt secure! All in all very nice."
