"Everything was great. We opted to check in a little early and paid the $50 for it. It was worth it. One of our beds was broken and they sent maintenance out within 10 minutes to fix it. The breakfast is fantastic and all of the employees are so kind! "

"I gave this hotel 3 stars because my overall experience was good the front desk staff was amazing easy check in room was very nice, breakfast could have been a little better, but Ms. Judy was wonderful. The main issue I had was the bar I paid my tab which was $52.78 the bartender repeated my total to me, and I used my card. I tipped the bartender $10 I gave her two $5 bills. The bartender thanked me for the tip when I handed it to her. I woke up the morning of check out and I had a charge for $105.56 I called the front desk, and Paula was so nice and understanding because clearly this was a mistake. She took my information and gave it to their accountant, and she gave me a call and stated that I left that amount as a tip. There is no way I would leave a large tip like that for a party of 2 and that would have meant that I left a total of 62.78 as a tip absolutely not and she continued to tell me that she would speak to the bartender and if she decided they would refund my money but if would clearly be up to the bartender. I included this in my review to say just watch your charges closely. When I signed that slip there was no tip on there just a reminder to look a little closer."

"We visit this property every few years and the only thing that we didn’t like this time was the exercise room had no working equipment. The pools and hot tubs were taken by the same people for two days. There ARE BEARS NEAR AND ON THIS PROPERTY SO BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS AT ALL TIMES. I was actually chased by one while my husband and I were enjoying the stream and taking pictures in front of the hotel. The cleaning staff do NOT speak English but the front desk staff are very helpful and friendly and DO speak English. We would love to have some more time at Edgewater but unless we could get some kind of coupon or a discount stay, I don’t think we can afford it in this economy anytime soon. "

"CLOSE TO EVERYTHING, MY SON LOVED THE LAZY RIVER, THE INDOOR POOL WAS EXTREMELY COLD! THE POOL OUTSIDE WAS COLD AS WELL, BUT THE LAZY RIVER WAS WARM AND ENJOYABLE. AGAIN CLOSE TO THA ISLAND AND TO MANY RESTAURANTS"
