Stunning views, 6-Bedroom Farmhouse with beach access and mooring
Bring your whole family to this 6 bedroom, 1920's farmhouse in a quiet neighborhood where everyone can have their own bedroom!
Combines the character of a 100 year old house with everything you need for a perfect vacation. 6 bedrooms, 6 queen beds. Stunning views over the straights to Mount Baker The very quiet public beach is 200 yards down the lane Large, fully fenced in yard for kids to play and dogs to have some freedom 4 Kayaks for your use (signed waiver needed) Fast Fiber Internet
The Space:
Built in 1925 and at 2100 sq ft, the house has a few age related charms and plenty of space for your whole family.
A large dining table to seat everyone while staring at the postcard view of the straights and Mount Baker.
Parking for up to 4 cars is available onsite and there is a maximum of 10 people (adults and children) allowed at the house.
The house is 5 minutes from Eastsound and has unobstructed views of the straights and Mt Baker. The neighborhood is quiet, rural residential so this is NOT A PARTY house, it is incredibly important to me that any guests of the house are great neighbors so please observe the quiet hours and remember that there are others living near by. There is public access to the beach 200 yards down the lane, the neighbors to the left and right own the beach either side of the public access to the mean high water level so although you can walk along the beach, please be respectful and keep some distance from the waterfront home yards.
There is a security camera covering the parking area and entrance to the house.
Mooring buoy and kayaks are available with signing of a waiver
Dogs are welcome but the following Pet Policy must be adhered to:
1. Dogs are not allowed to be left unattended in the house. 2. All dog poop must be picked up and disposed of (bags supplied in dispenser). 3. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture (couches/beds etc) 4. I do not require any deposit, but there is an additional cleaning fee of $50

Spent the weekend with extended family at this accommodating farm house and we all had an excellent time walking the beach, taking out kayaks, sitting around the fire and playing with the dog in the open yard!
Great way to celebrate a family Christmas together
Beautiful, well-appointed home. Owner even provided a Christmas tree for us. Would stay hear again for sure. Beach was cold and windy, but as we expected. High tides this time of year prevented long walks, unfortunately, so we did a lot of walks in the woods at Moran State Park. Good heat (and each bedroom room could control their own), plenty of hot water, and a lovely and functional gas fireplace. The kitchen had plenty of dishes as well as pots and pans: enough to make Christmas dinner for eight.
The property is nicely spacious, including five large bedrooms, dining room and living room, and a large fenced yard. The property has a beautiful view of the ocean and is located in a wonderful neighborhood, a short drive from town and the airport. The kayaks on site were so fun to take to the ocean, just down the road.
The house was just as advertized. Very nice, well stocked kitchen, clean rooms and comfortable beds. We brought our boat and tying up to the mooring boyee worked great, easy row in. Would recommend this place to anyone.
great property with a beautiful view of the sound. Host was very accommodating and checked in regularly to see if there was anything we needed. Our dog enjoyed the large fenced yard to run around in and our family enjoyed the fire pit and smores in the evenings!
Conveniently located centrally on island with easy access to Eastsound and Moran SP. great house with nice amenities and large grass lawn, fire pit, view porch with seating, access to beach. Owner was helpful and communicative.
Fantastic views of Mt. Baker. Easy beach access and kayaks on property were great for getting on the water. Well equipped to prepare meals for 8 adults and 2 toddlers. Enclosed backyard space also great with toddlers.
The property was exactly as listed/expected and Nigel was very quick to respond to the only question we had while staying there. Great experience overall!
The house was lovely, I highly recommend this place. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed, the family room had ample room for everyone and there was a variety of games, puzzles and books to entertain all ages. They also had a grill and kayaks outside, which we didn't use, but something we'll keep in mind for future visits. Overall, this place was very comfortable and relaxing.
I've never stayed in such a thoughtfully appointed rental property. Tons of lawn games and kayaks for guest use! The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We hadnt planned on kayaking but my daughter couldnt resist when she saw them. One of us got to have a fun interaction with a seal. We made amazing family memories thanks to Nigel.
The spacious and comfortable home affording us plenty of room for our family. The large fenced in yard was great for play and our dog. The kitchen was well supplied. The front porch had a spectacular view and was a favorite place to sit and watch the sunrise and listen to the birds. It was also a good place to gather on a rainy day. The 3 bathrooms and 6 bedrooms were great for an extended family vacation.

Great place!
Our group of 7 women loved the house and the location and the beautiful view. The size was perfect for us, the kitchen was well stocked, the big dining table and well furnished living room worked out great. We thought there could have been a little more attention to cleaning, and, although there is a TV, it only gets netflix, no TV service, and no instructions were provided.
The space was absolutely beautiful. Good for a group; we had three small families and all had plenty of space. The beach is walkable, but pebbly and small. Gorgeous views and such a calm environment. For those who might be mobility impaired, know that the stairs are somewhat steep and the walk-in shower is upstairs. Nigel was a great host, very responsive and welcoming.

Cozy storm hangout
We loved the Craftsmen Beach House -- the size and character of the interior, the great outside property and proximity to town, and how close it was to Moran St. Park as well. We had a group of 12 and it fit us well, even when it was blowing sideways rain outside. We did have great weather our last day and got out on the water on the complimentary sea Kayaks as well. Would highly recommend and are considering a return trip at some point. Special shout-out to all the new memory-foam mattresses on the beds!

Extended Family Gathering for Celebration of Life Service
My grown children, and grandchildren loved staying all together in this cozy, quaint, comfortable home. Even though the weather didn't cooperate (snow, rain and wind!) they managed to roast marshmallows at the fire pit, walk the beach, and play frizbee in the spacious yard. The house also had room for each of them to have their own space when wanted.
The owners were beyond flexible and accommodating, and very responsive to questions.

Orcas Memorial Day
Great house overall. The owners were very easy to communicate with in the weeks leading up to the trip, and answered all questions. They even faciliated a quick turnaround from the prior guests so we could get into the house in time for toddlers' naps. The house is very family friendly with a gate available to block stairs. Plenty of board games, books and music available, and we used the grill every night! We wish the weather would have cooperated for a fire in the pit, but we still enjoyed the spacious front yard. It was an easy walk to a secluded beach. This place is definitely not "modern" in its furnishings, but certainly very comfortable and cozy, and we had no maintenance issues. It was very reasonably priced, better than a lot of "cabins" at nearby resorts. Reminded us of the old cottages in Northern Wisconsin of our youth. We would definitely go back.

Great place for conversing and actually interacting
Went with six friends to go Mt. Biking at Moran. The house had plenty of room and was conducive to visiting in the living room, eating all together at the dining room table and playing games. It was very cozy and comfortable and had deer in the front yard eating apples every morning. The view of the water and the cascades was beautiful out the living, dining and master bedroom. Only downside was the water was much further away then what it appeared in the pictures. If you are looking for somewhere it all new this probably is not the place for you, but if you are lookiing for charm and character it is the perfect spot. The only other downside was the beds, not comfortable at all. The Owner, Katie was extremeley responsive and helpful and I have not had the same experience with other home owners.

Had a wonderful, relaxing time. Was a perfect house and location for my 2 year old - I found it challenging to find a safe vrbo (no high drop offs, balconies, lots of stairs) in the islands for my walking/running toddler who wanted to explore everything. This house and yard was wonderful! The fairly flat large yard gave her lots of space to run and explore while we relaxed. The beach was close by and easy to access. She loved all the rocks that she could throw into the water. Since my 2 year old was asleep, we couldn't go to watch the island fireworks - but we were able to watch the Bellingham fireworks from the comfort of the living room with our wine. My 2 year old still says "the blue house" whenever she sees pictures of deer because of all the deer she watched in the yard. Would definitely recommend to other families with toddlers and children of all ages. Works well with grandparents as well because of the first floor bedroom. We hope to return for a longer visit next summer.
